So I decided to go to the dealership to see the new Cadillac CT6 Platinum with absolutely NO intention of buying. I have been a customer since 1992 and strayed to a Japanese Brand and then a European b Cadillac CT6 Platinum with absolutely NO intention of buying. I have been a customer since 1992 and strayed to a Japanese Brand and then a European brand on 2013 after owning a 2008 CTS. Loved the car but I decided to give the other brands a try. I have always been treated well by the dealership and I have known Alf Wiebe the General Sales Manager for many years. Anyway I went to see the CT6 about 3 1/2 weeks ago and Alf suggested I take a demo home for the evening knowing I wasn't intending to buy, just to check it out and give him my opinion. Well, the driving experience is like no other but I still had no intention of buying. Alf had also introduced me to Leighton Powell a salesperson at McnNaught who is VERY knowledgable about the CT6 and all it has to offer. When I returned the car, Alf and I were speaking and we talked about the vehicle (Leighton was present to answer any questions I had too) and I started to think twice. What impressed me was there was NO pressure at all. I went home and thought about it and decided to discuss it and think about the deal in more detail. After discussion and experiencing the efforts made by Alf to make a DEAL I reconsidered. I literally could not turn the deal down it was that good! No pressure too! After deciding to take he plunge, I began dealing with Leighton more directly. I had a million questions of Leighton about the various options and about how the different options worked and how to deal with the CUE system, which incidentally is intuitive despite what some reviews I have read have said. Leighton was ALWAYS patient with me and if he didn't know an answer he looked it up and didn't try and fool me by answering when he didn't know. I have also phoned him or emailed him at least 40 times both before and after I took the car on October 3rd and he promptly responded each and every time even when I texted him, when he was off work and despite my requests he not respond until he was back at work. Maybe I should not have written him then but the thought was fresh so I texted him but guess what, he responded. I have NOT seen that before. Leighton has a passion for his job and the product and it shows! McNaught is lucky to have someone with his knowledge base about the CT6 on their team! It doesn't stop there with Leighton though. The vehicle I used to own, a European brand had all my music Inputted into the hard drive....I estimate there were about 2200 songs on the hard drive. I asked him if he would transfer the music to a USB stick so I could have the music for the CT6. No problem Leighton said. Well, the transfer was not occurring onto the USB stick despite his best efforts and we couldn't figure out why.He literally spent hours trying to accomplish the transfer but to no avail and by no fault of his own. He went so far as to call the former dealer I dealt with and the company’s office and finally determined that for copyright reasons the transfer of the music to a USB from the previous brand to a USB stick could not be accomplished. I was dreading the thought of having to record every single song know what? It doesn't stop there for Leighton though! Leighton OFFERED to input all the songs through his computer on a USB stick for me. I couldn't believe it and after telling him 4 times (at least) it wasn't necessary he insisted. That tells me a ton about the kind of person Leighton is by the lengths that he went to make sure I was taken care of. I recommend if you want to buy a car you go see Leighton for all your needs. I Have been buying cars for longer than I care to remember and I have dealt with good people over the years when buying a car don't get me wrong,but Leighton went that extra extra for me. I can say as well that he and Alf are a working Dynamo. They are a perfect team and compliment each other in all respects. They represent McNaught the best way possible and reflect the ideals you want In a dealership and in a salesperson! If you give them a try, you will be impressed. I sure was! More
