I went to look at a 2022 rav4 xle awd and when i got there and we went to test drive the vehicle i asked about the $11,,000 claim on the car fax and asked if there is an6 structural damage or frame damage? He told me this vehicle has been inspected 100% 160 point plus. I thought hey thats good its Toyota certified and got out side and looked it over , under the hood, interior looked very good but as im getttng in he tells me that we cant leave the parking lot and just did a 2 minute lap around lexus and back around to the toyota side....it was'nt even a full lap. When parked it i could'nt judge my oppinion of how it handled the test drive has to be the shortest of all time (hey guinness book of records!) In the few minutes during the test drive i asked Morty about the warranties that come with toyota pre owned and he nodded and told me they are great warranties. I looked over the vehicle and noticed it had mismatched tires on awd so i asked Morty if that is the tires that come with the vehicle? Thats not good for an awd and he says "as long as the front and the back match they are fine" WHAT? Toyota? This is the car knowledge these salesman have? I figured since its a certified vehicle they will need to match them when i pick it up. I go to the finance office to speak to Abdul and he is all smoke in mirrors. I give him all the infomation he needs and he says i will call you in 45 minutes. The next day around noon he gets back to me and tells me i was declined,.. this was a monday. I paid a deposit morty told me to personally e tranfer to him because it was after hours. Wednesday abdul phones " you were declined again" i have a $5000 deposit. My dad lent me the remaining balance after my 5000 , 28000. I dont hear from them and sent numerous emails with no reply. Friday i finally get a response after i asked morty if i can havecp the repair list from the 11000 dollar claim and make sure the tires are matching. He informs me straight up its saftied not certified he wont change tge tires they pass the safety and no repair sheet. afte4 all the questions i asked about warranties and certified pre owned. I was livid and called the sales manager sean and he told me to calm down and agreed to certify the vehicle for a bottle of scotch. ( i was thinking morty should buy me and him a bottle of scotch ) the vehicle will be ready monday or tuesday.. 7 or 8 days after i test drove. Monday comes no word, tuesday...nothing. wednesday i phoned and spoke to someone in sales and he told me it wont be ready by friday july 3'rd. I needed the vehicle by thursday or friday at the latest which i told sean. The guy was happy to cancel my purchase and return my deposit. Most likely because they want to get the most return on a vehicle they bought dirt cheap. I wasted over a week thinking im getting the vehicle i want and its safe to drive because its certified and boom 'not today" ive got to start again with 2 days and a holiday in between before i need to have a vehicle. IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE 2022 RAV4 XLE AWD 60,000 KM IS AS IS FOR $30,000 BUYER BEWARE. DOUBLE CHECK ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU AND DONT TRUST THIS DONALD TRUMP APPROVED DEALERSHIP. More
