The biggest issue has been the lack of communication and accountability from the sales manager once the sale was completed. After raising several concerns right away, there has been little to no follow-up. This has easily been the worst dealership experience I have ever had. The lack of transparency, poor communication, rushed process, and multiple unresolved issues made it feel like once the vehicle was sold, I no longer mattered as a customer. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership be very cautious and carefully review every detail before signing anything. **Also left a 1 star google review that is now not on there anymore** More
We purchased a 2025 Ford-150 Tremor last year. This was not purchased from Maclin Ford. We had to go out of province to Kelowna BC as there wasn't a dealership here in Calgary that could provide the truck in the color and options that we were looking for. We are happy with our purchase and had a great experience with John, the sales person in Kelowna, who actually picked us up from the airport. We have a few small issues that need to be resolved before the 1 year anniversary and thought we would call Maclin Ford to book an appointment. I mentioned that the passenger side mirror does not adjust properly to my setting and continues to make a clicking noise as it attempts to lock in position. she advised me that it will be $180 or so for diagnostic charge if it is not covered. I inform her that it is within the year and so there should be no charge. After speaking to a technician, she tells me that he will have to look at it before confirming if there is coverage. ??? We paid almost 100K for this vehicle but I guess that's what 100K buys you nowadays. The other issues were the transmission concern, delay in gearing up, and a squealing noise on start up in cold weather. When I requested a loner vehicle, she asked me if I had Loner insurance. I always had a loner vehicle provided when I took my previous Ford's into Okotoks Ford and had never been asked if I had Loner insurance. She looked at my file and then informed that I did not have the Loner insurance and so there would be a charge of $42 and I would not be able to get an appointment until sometime in April. I said that was not an option and I would not pay and so booked an appointment a week out. After further thought and discussion, my husband called Okotoks Ford and booked an appointment with a Loner Vehicle at no cost! We live in Cranston and so the distance to Maclin in Calgary or Okotoks Ford is a wash. He then called back Maclin Ford to cancel. She did not ask why and my husband offered no reason. A review is more valuable to any new potential customers. We are brand loyal and have owned many Fords over the years including a Mustang, F-350, Edge, Escape, Focus RS to mention a few. We will NOT be servicing or Fords with Maclin in future and certainly would not entertain any future purchases with this dealership. We value exceptional service and being a sales person myself in new home sales I know the importance and value in providing that. This dealership is rated very low at 2.8. A warning! More
*Looks like Maclin Ford got my google review shadow deleted* My husband and I were searching for a pre-owned vehicle to upgrade our family suv. We found one that met our criteria and was within our bud deleted* My husband and I were searching for a pre-owned vehicle to upgrade our family suv. We found one that met our criteria and was within our budget online. We decided to make the trek down to Maclin Ford in the evening to check it out. Shin, a newer salesman came to greet us and we made the typical small talk. Since we knew what we were there for, he pulled the vehicle up on his monitor and the price matched what we saw online. He pulled the car out and took it for a test drive. We wanted to come back during the day so we kept in contact with Shin via email/text/phone. We had a bunch of questions to be answered to which Shin was very helpful so we booked an appointment to return over the weekend. When we showed up, Shin was happy to show us the car but since we viewed it at night we failed to notice that it was pretty scuffed up so he had similar car as a backup to show. We wanted to ensure it was within our price range so we asked while we were checking out the cars and he said "ya, the option is only $100 more". I was a bit skeptical so before we did anything I asked to go over the paper work and details. He pulled the vehicles up on his monitor side by side and we noticed that the price had increased about $3k (btw this car has been on the lot for over 2.5 months and apparently APPRECIATED the night before we came into formalize the deal) We pointed out the price increase, and luckily I had a screenshot of the price we initially viewed - Shin mentioned that since we have that, they will likely honor the price but he would have to speak to a manager. Then comes in a 'manager', Lucas. Not only did he comment on my husband's posture but he repeatedly engaged in unsuccessful but persistent juvenile attempts at dominance behavior. He pretty much admitted to bait and switching practices. Lucas told us somewhat sheepishly, that they deliberately post lower prices in hopes of attracting customers who want to finance, however NONE of this was mentioned online or in person that the price was specifically for financing, this made me extremely upset to the point I cried as I thought this was deeply unethical. From my understanding, as an AMVIC licensed dealership, the price advertised plus GST is the law and per the Alberta Consumer Protection Law.....what he did falls under unfair practices. He continued to attempt to justify their approach to us and ultimately after that was unsuccessful, apologized then apparently spoke with his GM to see if they would accept what we wanted. After we left, we knew we didn't want to give our business to them and will happily take our business elsewhere. Furthermore, as of the time of this posting, the price has mysteriously *reduced*!!!!! I'm writing this review to help other potential buyers not waste their time with this dishonorable dealership like we did. Maclin Ford, you truly wasted our time and I would highly highly NOT recommend you as a dealership. More
This sales manager was not willing to negotiate the price of a used truck, literally slapped the full asking price on the desk and said that was it, take it or leave it. We were a little shocked driving home of a used truck, literally slapped the full asking price on the desk and said that was it, take it or leave it. We were a little shocked driving home wondering what the heck just happened. As it turned out, we went else and got a way better truck at a way better price. I will take city transit if needed before I would ever come back here! More
Took a friend of mine here over a week regarding an issue with her vehicle. Service and treatment ended with her buying a brand new car. Keirin (spell) impressed her so much she felt comfortable and not pr with her vehicle. Service and treatment ended with her buying a brand new car. Horrible experience. We arranged to buy a new vehicle here at a sale price. The car was to be delivered from another dealership and we were going to come in and sign the final paperwork and pick up the car when it arrived. This would give us time to get a bank draft for a downpayment and get our insurance switched. We had read that there was a recall issue on this model of vehicle, and when we asked if the recall would affect the purchase of the vehicle, Sarbdeep Singh a sales manager at Machlin Ford, assured us it would not and encouraged us to finilize our paperwork. On the day we were supposed to come in, I sold my existing vehicle privately. Then David Vieira, another manager called us and said they couldn’t sell us the car we’d arranged to purchase because of the recall. He couldn’t sell us any of the 2024s. Instead, he said “I can get you a screaming deal on a 2025 though.“ The 2025 models are $20,000 higher in cost. This dealership baits and switches. They do not honour sales arrangements. We stood in the showroom—at the appointed time when we had scheduled our car pick up—for nearly 20 minutes while all the staff ghosted us before finally getting out deposit back. What a disgraceful, dishonest sham of a business. Avoid at all costs. More
I had a terrible experience with Maclin Ford in Calgary, and I’d strongly advise anyone considering this dealership to think twice. Their website listed an attractive price for a truck, so I reached out to and I’d strongly advise anyone considering this dealership to think twice. Their website listed an attractive price for a truck, so I reached out to inquire about availability. The salesman assured me the truck was available and promised a great trade-in value for my current vehicle. We spent a day and a half negotiating details, only for a sales manager to leave me a voicemail out of nowhere saying the deal wasn’t available. Suddenly, it was a “fleet price” not mentioned anywhere on the website, and any other option was significantly more expensive. No trade-in appraisal was ever provided despite the back-and-forth. When I pushed back, a senior sales manager called and fed me an absurd excuse: Ford Canada “auto-populates” their website, and they have no control over the pricing displayed. That’s ridiculous—why would Ford Canada single out their dealership for this? It’s clear this was a bait-and-switch tactic to lure me in. The entire process was a waste of time, unprofessional, and dishonest. If you’re looking for a transparent car-buying experience, steer clear of Maclin Ford. This shady dealership’s practices are a red flag, and I wouldn’t trust them with my business again. More

I made a deal and pay deposit...for financing they checked my credit and it was approved. After that guy name paul told me there is warranty work pending on car and it will take 2 weeks to get it fixed which was not even mentioned before getting my deposit and credit check. I preferred to wait because they put hit on my credit. They did the worst thing i have ever seen in my life.... they put the same car online for $3000 more. I made a call and talk to the guy about it and he said don't worry its your and you are at first priority untill you don't wanna buy it... iafter 2 weeks finance manager just call me and told me that car has been already sold... i waited for 2 weeks and hit on my credit and 1000 deposit is nothing for them.. I don't recommend anyone to buy car from this dealership. Don't waste your time here these guys are not there for good business.. More
