She loves her Sienna and so replaced it with deluxe (LTD) Sienna 201 My wife and I wanted to explore the replacement of her Sienna with a new vehicle. She loves her Sienna and so replaced it with deluxe (LTD) Sienna 2016. These vehicles were in short supply and with patience the new one arrived and, to our delight and surprise it was an upgraded 2017 model with all the "bells and whistles". In keeping with their integrity they held the 2016 pricing - a deal is a deal! We received a very unexpected bonus and are most thrilled. Caution caution caution - BAIT AND SWITCH !! Visited this dealer late Saturday with my father recently and we made a very good deal for two new cars (we both happen to be in the market to buy at Visited this dealer late Saturday with my father recently and we made a very good deal for two new cars (we both happen to be in the market to buy at the same time). These were both cash deals, no financing and no trade. Spent a good deal of time with both the salesman and the sales manager and concluded our afternoon with a deal ... or so we thought. My father went back on Monday to pay the deposit for both cars and complete the deal ... but just as quick as that, the "deal" was now several thousand dollars higher than our agreed original deal. My father raised the issue and produced the written offer from the previous Friday, but the sales manager told him that the original deal was too generous and they'd changed their mind. He pointed out that we hadn't yet paid a deposit and we hadn't yet signed a sales agreement ... all they'd offered was merely that: an "offer and not an agreement"!! They haggled a bit ... and Toyota offered to respect the original price, if we threw in our current cars in trade !!! Wait a sec ... if we did that, we'd be paying a higher amount than what was NOW being offered!! Well ... perhaps they could do a different car for the quoted price ... but wait, that'd be even higher than the newly proposed car was currently offered at, before discounts!! What a disappointment !! More
