Sell you a car to just turn around and sell to someone else BEWARE: NEVER PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALER. My family’s terrible experience with Kingston Mazda happened a couple weeks ago following the “purchase” of a BEWARE: NEVER PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALER. My family’s terrible experience with Kingston Mazda happened a couple weeks ago following the “purchase” of a 2014 Mazda CX-5. Upon weeks of searching and visits to the dealership, my sister was notified that a CX-5 with all the features she was looking for was coming in off a lease. After test driving the car and deciding it was perfect, she sat down with the sales manager and negotiated a fair price and also agreed that the delivery of the car would be before Monday as we were going on a trip to Toronto and couldn’t use her car (as it had run into some recent troubles). The sales manager said this worked well on their end and he SHOOK hands on a deal $1,500 below the sticker price. My sister put down her $500 deposit to lock in her purchase and was told to come by tomorrow night to sign the final purchase agreement. She returned to the dealership the following night and the sales manager told her that the owner wasn’t in the dealership that day to sign the bill of sale because of a family emergency (which he then later told someone else he was actually playing golf…smh). The next day (two days after she had thought she purchased the car) the owner gave her a call and told her the car had already been “promised” to someone else for the last month and they just finalized the deal four days earlier. My sister then asked what he could do to help her as she needed a car by Monday and he gave no help. Anyways, it doesn’t take much to put two and two together here, either: a) We negotiated a great price and the owner decided to back out on our deal and sell to someone else at a higher price b) Or the women who had the lease (the sales manager’s mom and owner’s sister) decided she didn’t want to give it up after it was already sold. Needless to say I would strongly recommend not doing business with this “dealer”. Their lack of knowledge and business ethics is an embarrassment to the Mazda name. More
Used car buyers beware I purchased a used 2013 CX-5 with the expectation it wouldn't be perfect but not as bad as it was. These people made no effort to fix the small issues I purchased a used 2013 CX-5 with the expectation it wouldn't be perfect but not as bad as it was. These people made no effort to fix the small issues with this car and we're just looking for a quick buck. Scratches littered the body as well as damage to 2 areas that were not immediately noticeable and for all I know were not there prior to signing on the dotted line Given the price point for this vehicle I expect it to be in much better condition as well as I would also expect it to come with a full rank of gas. The one issue that I had with the vehicle which surprised me that they didn't catch it was the navigation was not working upon delivery. I had to spend a full day of driving out of my way to have it dealt with but the sheer lack of consideration was what really resonated. I returned a follow up phone call and made them aware of the navigation problem. They instructed me that they would check service availability and get back to me of which never happened. I had to call the next day to see what the plan was and was eventually told that they had an opening. These people are the most unprofessional bunch I've come across and are a true embarrassment to the Mazda brand. I won't be returning in any capacity and will ensure as many people steer clear of this dealer as possible. I wouldn't recommend anybody deal with them even on a new car basis. Hopefully the $200 in plastic and fuel was worth the negative image your dealer now has. More
Do not want to negotiate at all. I think that dealer reached his maximum capacity. They are do not wand new customers anymore. Almost zero negotiation process. When I came with some n I think that dealer reached his maximum capacity. They are do not wand new customers anymore. Almost zero negotiation process. When I came with some numbers from direct competitor - Toyota, they are just said: "Sorry, we cannot make anything close to Toyota offer". Really do not recommend that dealership. If you like Mazda, turn around and buy it in another city and same money. More
