On both occasions Alex told us to take it for as long as we would like and to make sure we got a good feel for the car. We found Alex to be honest and forthright and he certainly made the whole experience far more pleasant than has been our experience buying previous vehicles. Thankfully, we had your prototypical T.V. cars salesman in Alex Hernen. He was super eager to show my wife and I pictures of his 6 month old child, and try to relate to us, fairly easy going, and overall oozing honey. "Call me anytime you have a problem he says." Three days after taking possession of our Cx-5, the key fob takes significant jamming to unlock. I gave him a call, just to figure out what steps I should take to get it replaced. His first comment was, "Well I hope you bought the extended warranty." And then he passed me on to the service department. Are you kidding me? I was a giant rube, I bought a used car at sticker value, added heated seats despite the fact that they came back $200 more then what he had told us they would cost, and bought the extended warranty for another few grand. In total, I probably paid almost $10,000 more then what the car was actually worth. But Alex had already guaranteed his commission. I get it, I should have done some research before buying a new car and I thank Alex for this lesson. However, I imagine my next car will be through a different dealer. More

Mazda5 purchase I first emailed about a vehicle I had seen on their website and was promptly answered. I then drove to kanata (an hour and a half away from where I live) to look at and test drive a mazda5. I dealt with Matt, salesperson, and he was wonderful. He answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable and at ease. He was very well informed about all of the vehicles features and even took the time to help me with my Bluetooth. He was honest and straightforward and I would definitely seek out the dealership and his services the next time I am in the market for a vehicle. I also found the finance department very professional and helpful. David answered my questions and made getting financing a smooth process. I have and will continue to recommend this dealership and staff to anyone I know in the market for a vehicle :) More

Refreshing salesperson Alex is a most pleasant, energetic, "tell it as it is', salesperson and entirely the reason we drove from Orleans to Kanata to purchase our new CX5. Alex is a most pleasant, energetic, "tell it as it is', salesperson and entirely the reason we drove from Orleans to Kanata to purchase our new CX5. He remained very professional, composed and pleasant even when I held firm on my trade-in expectations. This young man is a valuable asset to this dealership. However, the reason for the overall 4 rating on our experience is due to the less than acceptable actions of the finance officer. We were not given a purchaser checklist and as a result had to run around the day of our vehicle pick-up to a bank branch to complete and return with an auto withdrawal form. Our insurance company requested, the previous week, that the finance officer fax his copy of the bill of sale and insurance confirmation form directly to her. This was not done and as a result, we had to wait for these actions to be completed prior to leaving with our vehicle. This was no reflection on Alex or the dealership but solely the finance officer. Right off the bat the handed us the keys, said there was gas in the car and told us to take the car out for a proper ride. We had it for an hour and a quarter. After having had a less satisfactory test drive at the Mini dealership this was a much better experience. I personally had another car from another manufacturer in mind initially but Alex put together an offer that was very appealing and we ended up buying the vehicle and couldn't be happier. I will go back to Kanata Mazda when our other cars need to be replaced to see what is available. More
