Experiences with Car/Dealership/Corporate...not good I bought an expensive Hyundai Sonata Plug in Hybrid with Premium Warranty, last June. The car has great fuel economy, I can use the carpool lanes whic I bought an expensive Hyundai Sonata Plug in Hybrid with Premium Warranty, last June. The car has great fuel economy, I can use the carpool lanes which saves time and money (Gimsby to Brampton daily). My review is based on multiple experiences with the dealership and Hyundai Canada. Beware the "premium" extended warranty, which only has 5 days of rental car coverage. My car is in the shop, for 18 days so far, there are others if you search the internet with the same or very similar issue, some whose cars have been at their dealership for 3 months+ ("check hybrid system"). Terrible availability of parts for this car, and it doesn't seem to have been tested properly. I have had 2 parts installed in 18 days. Delivery was anticipated at 30 days each, which was reduced after 10 hours on the phone with the dealership/Hyundai and visits to the dealership. Hyundai head office first offered a $200 gas card (now $400) and advised they are working with the dealership but will no longer be talking to me, as of Thursday and I should call the dealership. This is after speaking to corporate about 6-7 times, on hold every time, each call on average 1 hour and not being called back when promised a call back. This isn't just about the money it's my time. Things the dealer has done (the good): - expediting parts ( they drove and got it from the USA all at the dealerships cost, otherwise it would have been 30+ days) - giving me a loaner car (my "premium" warranty rental coverage is ONLY for 5 days....On a aprox $50,000 car including all the extra warranty) -covering the tolls for one day on a toll highway. -Cheryl at the front desk is amazing!!!! Since this issue happened on July 5th (the bad): -I have spent an additional 28 hours commuting to work (can't use car pool/green vehicle lanes) ABOVE my regular commute, and this is in the summer with less traffic. This leaves me with very little free time during the week, usually spent dealing with the car -the time I now need to leave for work and when I come home gives me no time to do simple things like mow the lawn while the sun is out -I have spent an additional $300 dollars on gas -I have had the dealership tell me that I haven't been inconvenienced by this -I have had the dealership tell me that they will take the loaner car away from me if I drag their name through the mud by posting online reviews -I spent $40 dollars for 1 day on the 407 toll highway -I have had to use vacation time from work to go to the dealership -I have spent countless hours calling and emailing the dealership, and calling Hyundai corporate, and getting nowhere....my estimate would be probably 2 hours a day (some days 5 hours, some none). And now corporate wont talk to me -I have had to change summer plans because of this I cant give this dealership/Hyundai more than 1 star, I had it at 2 stars I think out of fear they would take away the loaner car and because they have done some things, but I can't, it's affecting my life too much. A solution would be to get me a car with green plates while mine is being fixed or pay for 407, I can't accept a token gas card. When purchased, there were delivery date issues, broken promises, they tried to switch the color of the car to expedite delivery. In the end they made it right and provided compensation and floor mats, but it was a long wait. Earlier this year, I was advised of a recall on my vehicle, so I scheduled an appointment, took time off work, and brought it in. I was told my gas tank needed to be 1/4 full or less when I arrived, so they could not do the work, so I rescheduled. 2nd time (more time off work) dropping my vehicle off and taking the shuttle home I was advised there was no recall on my car. I didn't complain or post a review at the time. Make this right! Since corporate (can't speak with them anymore) has put this on the dealership's shoulder I have no choice but to put this on Grimsby Hyundai. There is more, but I don't have enough space. I was hesitant about the drive from Oakville. It turned out to be well worth it. They went above and beyond to offer quality service. If you're like me, you hate the process of buying a car. Both Shevon and Jason, the used car manager, made it a breeze. They were clear and transparent. The staff in the shop did a super job. The car looked great when we went to pick it up, every minor detail was attended to, Shevon even looked up some programming detail and called me back after the sale. If you're in the market for a car, go to Grimsby Hyundai. I'm glad I did. More

He wasn't pushy and did his best to finalize our purchase, including dealing with our insurance requirements. We feel that he has been the best salesman that we have dealt with (and we have purchased many cars over the years). The dealership was closing for the evening, but everyone, including Kawan in Finance didn't rush the process and stayed until things were finalized to our satisfaction. Enjoyable experience all around. More
