Summary of Vehicle Purchase and Subsequent Issues I test drove a recently traded-in Chevy Bolt at the Glen Oak Ford dealership (Carson Group) on Veteran Memorial Parkway (Langford, BC). • Initial Test Driv drove a recently traded-in Chevy Bolt at the Glen Oak Ford dealership (Carson Group) on Veteran Memorial Parkway (Langford, BC). • Initial Test Drive: Salesman Nic was present. I noted a grinding/whirling noise from the front end. Nic assured me the vehicle would go through the shop and all issues would be addressed before the sale. • Initial Deal: I negotiated a purchase agreement with salesman Nick, contingent on the vehicle being fully inspected, repaired, and made roadworthy. • Shop Findings (Pre-Sale): The mechanic's report stated the car needed new brakes, new rotors all around, and two new front tires due to uneven, choppy wear. • Purchase and Immediate Issue: I was assured the repairs were done and purchased the car without a second test drive. Driving home, I heard the original whirling/turbine noise again, which worsened upon acceleration. I also noticed the brakes felt spongy. • Second Inspection (Post-Sale): I contacted Colin, who scheduled a service appointment. The second work order listed a need for two new front tires and a four-wheel alignment, with no mention of the brakes despite them still feeling spongy. • Management Response: Service Advisor Cassidy informed me that management determined the issues were not a safety risk and would not pay for the repairs. My Concerns Regarding Safety and Mechanics. I contacted Nick after I received this response who said he would deal with it. Then never heard back from him again. The core questions that remain are: 1. Reliability of Mechanics: Are the initial mechanic's findings—that the car required new brakes, rotors, and tires—accurate and reliable? 2. Safety Risk: Are new brakes/rotors and severely worn (choppy) front tires not considered a safety hazard? It appears Ford management at this location believes they are not. Conclusion/Warning: Potential buyers should be aware that the management at the Glen Oak Ford dealership on Veteran Memorial Parkway may override their own mechanics' findings regarding necessary safety-related repairs. We recently purchased a used car we had seen on their webpage. The car had just come in and needed to be inspected and cleaned. We picked up the car a few days later which was sold to us by Hunter. Sa webpage. The car had just come in and needed to be inspected and cleaned. We picked up the car a few days later which was sold to us by Hunter. Sam helped us with the financing. Not only was the gas tank filled upon purchase, but our car also had 4 new all weather tires! Thanks so much to Hunter and Sam for making our experience so pleasant and positive. We left feeling very well in the way that we were treated, Over the years, when the time has come to purchase a vehicle, this is the only place we go...highly recommended Alf and Linda Clatworthy More

I was sold a ford escape that didn't have warranty so I needed to pay out of pocket for repairs. I was on the Malahat highway when the transmission went out they said it was a pressure sensor valve that to needed to pay out of pocket for repairs. I was on the Malahat highway when the transmission went out they said it was a pressure sensor valve that took them days to figure out. I had my own mechanic look at it and said that the deal ship should have been aware of the issue before giving me the car. Sad I am a single mother they costed me a lot of money for a car that no longer runs. More
Worst Ford Dealer in North America Bought new Focus 2012, and trans broke down 4 times. A recall that they checked was reported as Okay to them, but recalled item broke down within 2 weeks, and I got s 2012, and trans broke down 4 times. A recall that they checked was reported as Okay to them, but recalled item broke down within 2 weeks, and I got stuck changing the part myself out of pocket. to top it all the car leaked water inside and service manager accused me of pouring water inside. Later another Ford dealership found TB on AC drain line suspected of leaking. turned out that the firewall and most of pass side had no seams sealant applied from factory and dealership had car 3 times for 2 weeks at the time, and never found. I took entire front end of car apart in a few hours and found. So xxxxty product, incompetent staff and crocked dealership. More
Wife’s vehicle in for reg maintenance. Twice came back with damage, twice denied it was them. Ford Canada also won’t give repair cost, due to dealerships being privately owned…so they charge whatever they with damage, twice denied it was them. Might be time to force transparency and equal pricing thru every dealership! More
