"Transmission repair"

- GMstinks

My Pontiac vibe was shifting just a touch late from 1st gear into second. No big deal, I'll just bring it in to the professionals that know my car best. After a week the car still shifted late but now it was leaking fluid too. I spent $2000 and basically had the manager mocking the car I purchased shrugging his shoulders and saying well, what are you gonna do. GM head office was no help. I had an independent shop repair the car. They brought to my attention that the dealer also bent an axle while "repairing" my car. Nice job Giles! To bad you will never get any more of my money and GM won't either. No wonder you are in such financial troubles.

"very unpleasant new car purchase process"

- Torque3k

Was basically treated like dirt when I purchased my first new vehicle, a sport impala. Because I was not yet married to my longtime fiancee, who took care of the finances and was there with me to deal with the banking, they instantly assumed I was trying to pull a fast one by purchasing my vehicle for someone else using my GM employee discount, and told me so. No matter what I said to convince them the car was for me, it was my first car, and they were ruining the experience for me, they kept the winks going to my now wife when I was making decisions on questions they were asking her about the things I wanted in my car, and when the car was picked up, they congratulated her on her new car, and shook her hand first, and then said might as well shake yours too as you as you are the reason this sale happened. First thing I wanted to do when I got in the car was run him over. I don't even remember all of the constant jabs along the way during the process about me being only the facilitator, never once was I considered the future owner, and never once did I go back there for the constant service my car required. I drive a Jeep now. So screw these guys, go elsewhere.

"Took vehicle in to be certifed because it was being sold...."

- Stouffville

Took vehicle in to be certifed because it was being sold. Was told brakes were shot, $1200. Vehicle was still under warranty with less than 20k on it. They offered to cover half under warranty. I said I would think about it. They even hinted that they thought it was not safe for the road and they would not let me drive it off the lot. Took it to another mechanic who said it did not need anything to certify
