We both..." My wife bought a new vehicle from Gateway Toyota. We both were very impressed they worked out an excellent deal with us. Part of the negotiation included a hitch that would be compatable with rear sensor (activated by your foot to open rear hatch). Forward a few months later, I go into another toyota dealer for some warranty work to be told I have an aftermarket hitch that will not work correctly with the rear sensor (for a riduclous diagnostic fee of $90). I have phoned gateway toyota and talked to a sales manager said he would return my call after the weekend never heard back. So I called back two weeks later apparently now said manager is now on holidays so they sent my call over to another sales manager left a message and still haven't heard back. Very frustrating, no straight answers and just getting the run around. I feel once you purchase a vehicle your concerns are no longer important to them. Update October 13/21 Contacted by manager Kameel-- nothing has been resolved. Explained our issue again even though this has been explained to numerous people. Needed to emphasize that we were promised the installed hitch would be compatable with the rear sensor. And again given the run around. Was told we would get a call back from either Rick or Kameel the next day with a solution (October 6, 2021). Still waiting for a call back and a solution and it's now October 13, 2021. Absolutely ridiculous. Once the deal is made and money paid your concerns are no longer legitimate to Gateway. More
