Thank you for your detailed account of your experience at our store. We do have a sales process in place in order to assist our customers in selecting the vehicle based on our customer's needs, wants and preferences. By completing the guest survey prior to a random test drive, it makes sure we select a suitable vehicle based on your responses to the survey and ultimately saves our customers time. Once that is determined, we always test drive vehicles with our guests. This allows us to look at, for example; an EDGE over the ESCAPE or the EcoSport over the Focus Hatchback based on the questions answered. We offer several different trim packages which come in at different price points, so this survey really does help us, help you. We are sorry you felt this process itself was a waste of your time.

The issue is that all I wanted to do was test drive the vehicle, see if I liked it, then we could talk numbers. At no point did Derek Jansen offer to let us test drive the vehicle - even after SEVERAL requests, we could have talked numbers after. He has no idea if I could have paid cash for the vehicle, made a substantial deposit, etc. The dealership wants you to fill out all the paperwork before you even know if you like the vehicle - why waste my time and your time if the vehicle is not what I was looking for. You lost a sale. I walked away and purchased a vehicle from a dealership that was willing to let me test drive the vehicle and then talk numbers. I will continue to tell all of my friends, family, and coworkers to NEVER step foot in your establishment. If they want a Ford vehicle they should head out to City Ford on St. Albert trail - they listen without a jerk Manager being rude and ignorant to the potential car buyer.
