I purchased a 2016 Rio hatchback and had a terrible experience as a first time bu Foster Kia is the worst & horrible dealer that I have dealt with... I purchased a 2016 Rio hatchback and had a terrible experience as a first time buyer there. I have dealt with this dealer for more than 2 weeks and clearly told them what I want for my new car - 1) winter mats, 2) Winter tires with Rims, and 3) the remote starter However, what they gave me is only with remote starter and winter matts... The story is the GM -Kevin G. gave me the deal which is included those three things as $22000 but the winter tires is used one -90% new (the vehicle they offered me was $20020, so I paid $1980 for the used tires, winter mats and the remote starter) However, there were just 5 minutes after I said Yes for the deal (haven’t signed the agreement yet at that moment)... I want to cancel the winter tires as I want to get new tires in the first year for safety reason. So, I told the salesperson that I would like to cancel the winter tires, and he asked me to tell the Finance Manager. However, the Finance Manager said 'NO' because the tires was given me for free...at that moment, I was there for 2.5 hrs already, and just want to get the thing done ASAP. Therefore, I was ok with paying $22000 for the new car with the used winter tires, winter mats and remote starter. And also, the finance manager said the USED tires is given for free, so I got an assumption that that's why the USED tires is not on the agreement. Therefore, eventually, I signed the agreement. Few days later, when I went to pick up the car, there was no winter tires. And, they told me that I said 'You told us You don't need the winter tires' but the problem is I still need to PAY $22000 !!!! They said I will just get either the winter mats OR used winter tires for free, only of one of them And, they said I ‘told’ them I chose Winter Mats!! Does it make sense?? And the GM- Kevin G. carelessly said that's what the deal I agreed to ... I told them I was not going to sign any documents for picking up the new car as the deal was not what I did agree to. Furthermore, I just wanted to get my trade-in car back. However, they said “No” because the ownership of my trade-in car is not belong to me anymore… if I drive it away, which is not illegal!!! After almost 4 hrs spending there and calling different parties (for gather information, but not success because that time was around 7-8pm, everyone is off), end up, I got the USED winter tires for free and will be installed sometime in next week. From the lesson I just learned, I requested they had to write it on the agreement, then I finally signed it.... I hope my terrible experience will help other buyers to be aware of buying a car at this dealership and even keep away from this location...specially the GM - Kevin G.!!! Overall, the salesperson was there to help me a lot and I am really appreciated for him...but please STAY AWAY from the Foster Kia dealer at Markham Rd. For this case, I am going to make CPA - Consumer Protection Act and to ask the OMVIC to get involved in. More

Beware of pressure tactics to do pricy and unnecessary service. You need prepare yourself by studying the owner's manual for the required service, just so you can emphatically say no when they pressure yo service.
