I have bought several vehicles, both within Canada and Europe, and both new and used. It's not usually a pleasurable experience, despite being a self-confessed 'car guy'. I am sure that anybody who has pu Europe, and both new and used. It's not usually a pleasurable experience, despite being a self-confessed 'car guy'. I am sure that anybody who has purchased a car previously will have some appreciation for the games car dealerships play - massively undervaluing a trade-in, hiding the imperfections on a used vehicle, rushing you to make a decision and then showing a complete change of attitude once they have your signature on the order form! I'm happy to say that this is the first car buying experience I've had which wasn't anything like that. On arriving at the dealership for my pre-scheduled test drive of the car, Kevin had made arrangements to have the car detailed and ready and met with me a smile. He gave me the keys, put on a set of dealer plates and let me and my girlfriend take the car for a spin in private. I was given ample time to examine the vehicle in private also, and at no-point felt in anyway pressured. The good service continued throughout the negotiation phase. I had another certified pre-owned vehicle to view at BMW Toronto and informed Kevin and Dave I wanted to test drive that car before making a decision. They were absolutely straight to the point and gave me an initial offer on my trade and an overall deal price to help me understand the deal and compare with the other vehicle I was viewing. There was no haggling over the prices, the deal Kevin and Dave proposed was fair and reasonable and in-line with what I expected. This is in contrast to what I have experienced in the past where a dealership will give you a real low-ball offer and then call you back later in the day with more reasonable figures. I had a few concerns about the vehicle which Kevin and Dave assured me would be rectified, and stated so on the contract. On taking delivery of the vehicle, everything was to my satisfaction and Kevin has followed up with me repeatedly to ensure I am happy with the car. I would recommend these folks to a friend or family member looking for a pre-owned BMW and will be a repeat customer next time I look to change my car. More
