Promises We brought our buisness into Winnipeg as Manitobans living elsewhere, we were told we would get a great deal. We were promised everything and recieved none of it on the spot, sales had no clue what service could do. No winter tire install (as promised) drove home in a snow storm ON Summer tires, after being told they could install on Monday, KNOWING we had a Sunday departure back home. No Navigation System as promised during negotiations. No rust proof etc. We came in on 2 occasions (7.5hr drive) to recieve the navigation system promised in January on date of purchase. 5 months later we get the same message only 1 tech can do it. 5 months later and 6 trips into the US with no system as promised. My parents bought their first new vehichles at Eastern in the 70's. I have tons of friends who have been there. I expected to be loyal. In the end my loyalty has been paid back with inadequate customer service. I expected way more. We were mislead by sales, mislead by the finance led to believe all the "extras" were not optional. Yet clearly they were. The line ...the Bank Prefers it if..... what a load. Again I could have done this in my home city 7-7.5, got the same deal not had 2000-3000 extra Kms put on for failed install. I know this wont be posted but from a CS POV this is my opinion. I am a loyal person, but loyalty can be tested elsewhere. Would I recomend Eastern, at this moment... no. Now as I type this , Shaun Saull has been helpful as the FIRST person to solve an issue not whine about my tone after being absolutley mislead. If you want happy customers supply what you promise, promise what you can supply. I would suggest SALES UNDERSTAND what service can do and what can be done on time! Makes buyers a bit happier. Chris. With fear of commitment being my standard, the whole team were patient as I dragged my heels for a week before finally making the decision to purchase the first van I'd test drove.
