Service at Don Valley Volkswagen!! I have been a loyal Volkswagen owner for more than 10 years now. I am currently driving my second car. I keep coming back because of Loretta Cain an I have been a loyal Volkswagen owner for more than 10 years now. I am currently driving my second car. I keep coming back because of Loretta Cain and the outstanding service that both I and my husband receive from her. Note that both of my Volkswagen cars were purchased at other dealerships but for service; I come back to Loretta and Don Valley Volkswagen! Loretta knows her "stuff" and has always been accommodating, friendly and above all patient. It can be very frustrating when your car isn't working or you need a helping hand when lights are blinking! Anita More

John responded promptly to my emails, happily took my calls , explained my options to me and helped me work out some details that are probably not in the responsibility of his actual role. Good Service!!! I've been dealing with DV VW for over 5 years now and I like the service I recieve. One of their service reps (Loretta Cain) I've known since 1994 ha I've been dealing with DV VW for over 5 years now and I like the service I recieve. One of their service reps (Loretta Cain) I've known since 1994 has always looked after me in a very good way. She always looks for alternative ways to fix my car if the bill starts getting expensive. She's honest and to the point in regards to telling you what needs to be done on my car. I recently bought my 3rd VW Golf from DV VW back in 2012 and it is a wonderful car!!! I highly recommend this dealership for all service and sales inquires. Thank you. Dwight Chong More

Second time I get my car back and engine goes on right after Don't do service here. First, technicians don't seem to be good: twice my car got an engine light right after driving out of the dealership, which mea Don't do service here. Second, it's a rip off, no good prices. Third, be careful with the freebies, look at your credit card statement because they will probably charge you the "free" rental for a major repair. I had a problem with the cooling system and took my car to DVVW. They gave me a rental and said it would be included. My car was there for almost two days and they called me to tell me it was ready. I went to pick it up and drop the rental. Just after leaving the dealership the engine light went on. I was really busy, so I couldn't come back right away. I dropped my car the next day and when I pick it up the day after, I noticed some damage on the car. They didn't was to assume any damage, which tells me for them customer is last. On top of that, I checked my credit card statement and noticed I had been charged for the "free" rental. I can tell you one thing: I will never go back to that place and I advice you don't, unless you want to be ripped off with a large bill for a bad service. More

They understood that some operations I like to do myself and only performed the rest, no arguments. I did some research on the Internet and I can confirm the price is fair, maybe on the low side. Being cold outside I stayed there and observed the whole operation from the above window. I used to deal with dozens (literally) auto services in my life, as a customer and as a parts & motor oil supplier. Everything I saw was professional, on my car and on other cars being serviced at the same time. I also bought a set of spark plugs to change myself. Slightly pricier than online, but hey, certified is certified! I also wanted to buy an ignition coil, just for spare, but I was told they are very reliable and makes no sense to carry one in my trunk, so no rip off attempt here. The suspect noise I heard from the engine was investigated, nothing to worry. Finally, the complimentary car wash was pretty good and the car was almost dry, nice to have on a freezing day. I like to take care of my car myself, but if you have to take it somewhere, than I recommend Don Valley VW. Like I stated in the title: everybody was professional and friendly and the price was right. l will certainly come back! And yes, this is NOT where I bought the car, so no strings attached. More
Sabotaged Light Bulb I took my vehicle for service for recall. All was in good working order with my vehicle (17000km). When I went to pick up my vehicle somehow my left I took my vehicle for service for recall. All was in good working order with my vehicle (17000km). When I went to pick up my vehicle somehow my left fog light bulb burned out. I said OK, it could happen. So I picked up my vehicle with the 'burned out' fog light bulb. After a few weeks I decided to change the bulb on my own, low and behold to my surprise the harness was disconnected. Hmm I wonder how the harness could have disconnected by itself. I highly suspect that Don Valley VW service technician disconnected the harness on purpose so I go back in for service. Avoid Don Valley VW at all costs, they will sabotage your vehicle so you go back for service. More
My dealings with Don Valley VW is always great. From my Service Tech, Loretta, to sales James & Business Manager Julia, its always a comfortable and relaxing visit. Had to replace my 2006 (which was always Service Tech, Loretta, to sales James & Business Manager Julia, its always a comfortable and relaxing visit. Had to replace my 2006 (which was always taken care of in such great attention by Loretta & her team) with a new 2014 Jetta and the purchase experience with James & Julia was great. I was led to the Dealer from a colleague who made a purchase here and it started with a phone call, Peter Notis took the time to explain in detail any and all questions I had with the purchase. For any questions that Peter was not a 100% sure on the answer he acknowledged this with me and took the time to resource the answer so the response was correct. There was no pressure throughout the whole process, Peter made me feel welcome without me feeling awkward as many Dealerships that I have visited profiled me as soon as I walked in the door.
