Many parts (bushing, hinge etc ) have been worked on si The inferior quality of the slow release tailgate on my Silverado has been a thorn in my side. Many parts (bushing, hinge etc ) have been worked on since the truck was purchased new. This visit was my 5th time for the same problem. At 60,000km, the bumper to bumper coverage expires. The technician quoted a $74 inspection fee for any part not covered by warranty. Turns out that the hinge was bent and straightened and the bushing was replaced. They waived the fee due to my persistence of questioning the inferior product from day 1. They also washed my truck as a curtesy . More
