The sales manager who wrote up my contract did not mention that my deposit was non refundable ~ he even suggested that I put down $5000 instead of the 1 k I was agreeable to. I was so excited about the Mercedez Benz that I did not read the contract, which does state the deposit was non -refundable ~ it's in very tiny print though, and as i said, this was never mentioned to me during the course of being told the price. Also, I asked them to check why oil was dripping on the engine and causing a burning odour, which they did not do. I was willing to consider buying a different, more fuel efficient vehicle, or maybe even leasing, but I've decided to go with a Toyota instead ~ I will take my complaint to the CEO of Mazda, dispute it on my credit card, and if all else fails, I will take them to small claims court based on the fact that they weren't entirely transparent, and that they did not check what the burning oil smell was. It would have been prudent o me to make them figure that out before signing papers, but had I been clear that the deposit was non refundable, I would not have signed the contract until the burning oil smell was addressed. I will say that everyone at the dealership was very friendly, and helpful, right up until having me sign the contract ~ they were very good about pretending to be transparent, showing me their costs, and claiming that they would only be making $600 on the sale, but I was say asking me for a 5 k deposit while knowing that it would be non refundable is just shady. More

He heard my wish list, made a list of cars to look at and introduced me to Austin Pride, who took care of me from there. Austin was knowledgeable, kind, mature, and easy company on test drives. I would not hesitate recommending this dealership where relationships are important. More
