Hi: Although I expected to, I haven't seen or heard from you since I spoke to your husband months ago. Is it possible he did not relay our last conversation, where I recommended that you bring the vehicle in the next time you were in the area? I understand you aren't local to us but do travel to the Vancouver area regularly. Although not safety related, we made your other repairs convenient for you to deal with a local dealer. We have been very cooperative repairing items for you (even though non safety related) at your local dealer, that could have been fixed by us at far less cost. With your heated seat issue, I did not trust the diagnosis given by the shop diagnosing the problem, and requested it come back to our store. I discussed this with your husband and our dealership would participate in a repair if you brought the vehicle back here. That deal still stands if you contact me in the near future and amend your complaint. Regards, Ian

Hello Karen and Daryl: Although I expected to, I haven't seen or heard from you since I spoke to your Daryl months ago. Is it possible he did not relay our last conversation, where I recommended that you bring the vehicle in the next time you were in the area? I understand you aren't local to us but do travel to the Vancouver area regularly. (Our warranty is not National or with Chrysler and has limitations as do all warranties. Although not safety related, we made your other repairs convenient for you to deal with a local dealer. We were very cooperative repairing items for you (even though non safety related) at your local dealer, that could have been fixed by us at far less cost. With your heated seat issue, I did not trust the diagnosis given by the shop diagnosing the problem, and felt we had the right to request it come back to our store. I discussed this with your husband and our dealership would participate in a repair if you brought the vehicle back here. That deal still stands if you contact me in the near future and amend your complaint with DealerRator. This message was sent though DealerRator immediately after you sent it, however I was unaware you hadn't read it until Michael came to me yesterday. I hope you understand our position and can find an opportunity to make an appointment with me to have the issue repaired. (If you find this unworkable please let me know and we can discuss other options that limit our costs at your dealer). Thank you, Ian

Ian, you haven't seen or heard from us because it was you who was supposed to get back to us with info after you spoke with Jeff on this issue (An email was sent to Jeff on this as well with no response from him either.) Again this just ties in with your poor customer service. If your 30 day warranty has limitations then that should have been made clear to us at the time of purchase. You make it sound like you were doing us some big favor in repairing the "non-safety issues" we had with the Jeep. My thoughts are they should have been looked after in your safety inspection of the vehicle when you received the vehicle on your lot. Your techs obviously failed in that department. The passenger side floor had enough water on it to soak through the carpet from a leaking door seal, the e-brake handle could be pulled all the way up through its travel indicating it was in need of adjustment. As for the seat heater, I'll accept that you wouldn't trust the other dealerships diagnosis of it, but again we heard absolutely nothing from you on whether you were or were not going to repair it until we contacted our dealership to find out what the verdict was. Poor customer service with little to no communication. Lets also be clear that it was my suggestion to bring the Jeep back to your dealership and covering some of the cost of the repair to the seat heater. You were more concerned about how much this was going to cost the dealership and not looking after a paying customers needs. Hence a poor dealership customer service review. So as things stand right now, I still have a seat heater that doesn't work properly and you still have a poor dealership review on DealerRator. We have no immediate plans to be over on the mainland anytime soon. So if you want to work something out with our local dealer that can limit your costs I will be open to that. I will not be contacting you in any way on this. If you want this complaint "amended" then you can step up and contact us with options on how this will work in everyone's favor. From what I have been reading online the seat heater not working is a fairly common problem with the Jeep Wrangler. There are also recalls for the seat heaters in some of the Grand Cherokees, would there possibly be a future recall on the Wranglers for these? Maybe we can both get what we need out of this if that is the case. My cell number is 250 740-5325 if you wish to discuss. Regards, Daryl
