Hello Jason, My name is Amanda Epp and I’m our Quality Assurance Manager here at Coquitlam Chrysler, thank you for taking the time to rate your experience with us on Dealerrater.com. After reading your review, I wanted to first of all say sorry for your experience you had with us and also ask you if you tried first to contact us with your concerns and give us the opportunity to rectify them before you decided to write your scathing review on us? I have reviewed your purchase with all the employees involved here so I could get a better understanding of what happened. I definitely think there’s some perceived issues you had that seemed to be lost in translation along the way somewhere! Both sales people you dealt with, were as accommodating as they possibly could be and I did review the string of text messages back and forth between you and Kelly. What I took away from those texts were her concern for you and your well-being in regards to the accident you were in however she does apologize if you felt that she somehow thought it was funny? I want to address your concerns now on the Volkswagen you purchased. I am sure you would agree with me that you definitely purchased this car and a very good price! We do have records of the oil change being completed and all four tires did pass an initial inspection. Kelly said she did go over the car in great detail with you and you had no concerns with it. This car was a local B.C. car and we did provide you with the ICBC report to show you its history. When a car is registered in B.C. only, a Carfax won’t have any reports or histories on it and Carfax only benefits a consumer when the vehicle was registered in a different province or imported from the U.S. I understand when you took your car in for a service, the mechanic said the oil was dirty and didn’t look like it was changed. Again as I said we do have record of it being changed however I’m sorry you were informed otherwise. I would like to ask you if you have your receipt and I would be happy to get you reimbursed for that oil change. As well, you mentioned that the front tires had abnormal wear on them, have you purchased new tires to replace them? Again, if you so , would you happen to have your receipt so I can submit it to my general manager and work on getting you reimbursed for a portion of that purchase as well? If you haven’t yet purchased tires then we would be happy to work something out for you and get them at our cost as well as pay for a portion of them. It’s our goal to do our best to turn this negative purchasing experience into a positive one and fix our mistakes once we know what they are so please email me back or contact me here at 604.469.5600 and I’m sure if we work together on this, we can come to an amicable agreement for both parties involved.
