Shoddy Quality Control The vehicle was brought in for work in the engine compartment. Although I still not agree that the work was necessary, what is far worse is that the The vehicle was brought in for work in the engine compartment. Although I still not agree that the work was necessary, what is far worse is that the mechanic left a 3lbs ballpeen hammer on the battery and a small pry bar. It is by pure luck that I opened the hood a week later and found the hammer, just sitting loosely on the battery. It could have fallen and damaged the belt or radiator, or even worse fallen off the truck and caused an accident. A couple weeks later, I found the pry bar wedged near the coil spring of the front wheel. When I confronted the dealer, they said Sorry but nobody got hurt. And they wanted their tools back. They did not offer any compensation and did not care! I am not going back. Go somewhere else for service! More

When I asked that it be changed back they said they would comply but to this day have done nothing. Is the value of advertising on a plate cover really worth the loss of a customer? Poor Service = Poor Customer I have been going to this dealer for service because it is close to me and in a small town where I expected friendlier service. I have brought the vehicle 4 times for the same issue, front clunking. The first three times, they could not do anything as they could not reproduce the sound. On the fourth visit, they advise that the slip yoke was the cause and needed lubrication. On that visit, the advisor recommended spark plug change (a hefty fee - 500$CDN). The next day, I had serious shuddering of engine. Now they are charging 700 for CVT solenoid. Vehicle never had isse. When confronted with advisor, the advisor knows nothing about vehicle. She had to go back and check with other. Dealer refused to acknowledge that they may have triggered the problem. Service is always awful there as they look at you like an idiot with money. Never going there again. More

Full Story: I just purchased a 2014 Ford Fusion from this dealership through Gordon Clarke, and wanted to outline my experience with thedealership. A bit of background information – I purchased a Ford Escape 2.5 years ago from another Ford dealership in Ontario. My in-laws approached me a few weeks ago as they were to be purchasing a new Suburu, and asked if I would be interested in joining them to look at some options. While I liked a few models, overall they lacked the modern technology and performance that I expected and desired. Further to that, thes sales associated knew nothing about the cars he was showing me. That brought me back to Ford. I immediately reached out to the dealer from whom I first purchased from, who despite multiple phone calls and e-mails, took three days to even get back to me. Much like how I approached Gordon, I asked for a “no xxxxxxxx” approach and for him to give me the best deal he could up front. Instead, he tried to sell me based on a monthly payment “within my budget”, three days after my initial request for pricing. Needless to say, I wasn’t excited to give him my business. I went to another Ford in Brampton, and after walking around looking for a sales associated, I had to practically beg someone to sell me something. A sales associate finally approached. Again, he knew nothing about the cars that I was inquiring about (Ford Focus and Fusion), and had to refer to the pamphlet for any information that I requested. He instilled very little confidence in me, and once again was not someone to whom I wanted to give my business. And then I went to Concept Ford. Gordon approached me immediately and presented himself professionally. When I told him I was looking at the Fusion, he immediately took me around the lot to show me their inventory, and took it upon himself to outline the relevant important details of the car (engine size, fuel economy, technology, etc.). He was extremely knowledgeable, and for the few questions I asked that he did not have an answer for, he got me an answer promptly afterwards, and accurate ones to boot. When it came time to discuss numbers, he was very respectful of my requests and while he asked for my business, he wasn’t overly aggressive in doing so. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to find the exact specifications that I was looking for in the lot, and we ended up doing a factory order. I believe very strongly in the value of an attentive and knowledgeable sales associated who actually genuinely cares about his clients, and that is what I found in Gordon. For that reason, I am very confident in my decision to purchase my new car from Concept Ford, and would highly recommend anyone looking for a new vehicle to make sure you look at Ford, and make sure you do that at Concept Ford. More
