We have purchaed two weeks ago a brand new 2012 Honda - Civic - Sedan. We recommend to anyone wanting to buy a car with this dealer to deal with Mr. Chung Leung. We have received the best service ever, our Civic - Sedan. We recommend to anyone wanting to buy a car with this dealer to deal with Mr. Chung Leung. We have received the best service ever, our questions were answered with patience, and he always had a solution for everything to help us be satistified with our purchase while keeping his honest smile. What I appreciated most is that even after our purchased, we kept receiving top quality service from Mr. Leung. We have been to Honda in Hull and in Gatineau, and were not respected over asking questions about the car. Honda St-Laurent is truly a respectful place to go for a quality service, thanks to Mr. Leung. More

I have just traded by 2009 Honda Civic Coupe for a new 2012 Honda Civic Coupe. This is our 6+ visit to this dealer to buy or lease a car or van. We also sent quite a few of our friends to see Chung. Ev 2012 Honda Civic Coupe. This is our 6+ visit to this dealer to buy or lease a car or van. We also sent quite a few of our friends to see Chung. Every visit is an excellent experience. Chung Leung (our favorite sales consultant) as well as Maurice Begin (Business Manager) have, through the years, treated us with respect and given us every courtesy. They go out of their way to respond to our requirements, enough that our trust in them have brought us back and will continue to bring us back. It is very reassuring to see their smiling faces when we come back and are ready for a new car. Chung knows us well enough now to anticipate our special requirements and is always ready for us. He is very knowledgeable and is honest enough to recommend (or not) something that would be to our benefit. Many thanks to both Chung and Maurice. The quality of service was great. Staff are friendly and eager to help. No one is ever satisfied with the price of the car but I believe it was fair and appropriate. We bought a new Honda Odyssey van from Peter Kelly and what a fantastic, pain-free experience it was. We had researched the invoice prices via Carsaver.com and Peter answered with a VERY reasonable quote what a fantastic, pain-free experience it was. We had researched the invoice prices via Carsaver.com and Peter answered with a VERY reasonable quote. It was straightforward, detailed and even I could understand it! He passed on the manufacturer's rebate, and when the rebate went up a month later, he passed that on to us and the price ended up being better! We went in, Peter did up the paperwork, no funny business or haggling. Just simple, straightforward. It was the most pleasant car-buying experience we have ever had. When our van did come in, there was a bit of transit damage to the roof. Peter notified us immediately and called around and located another van for us. I was very impressed that there was no attempt to have it fixed without us knowing about the damage. Very honest, professional, trustworthy. I would definitely buy another car from Peter and I wish I could tell everyone to go to Peter...HE'S your HONDA GUY!!!! More
In brief, went to change oil, left shop with a loose bolt of front caliper after shop did a ‘Type B’ and a ‘Type 4’ maintenance to my car. Both bolts of front wheel passenger side caliper were loose (too loo of front caliper after shop did a ‘Type B’ and a ‘Type 4’ maintenance to my car. Both bolts of front wheel passenger side caliper were loose (too loose). According to the service manager 'a loose caliper' is not dangerous (!!!). So, bad quality of work, unprofessional answer. May 21, 2012: booked an appointment for oil change. May 24, early morning took the car to ‘Civic Motors’ for an oil change. Before 8:00 am, service advisor suggested to do service type ‘B’ (Cost around $140). I accepted. Around 9:00 am, someone from ‘Civic Motors’ called and based on the mileage suggested to do a type 4 maintenance (cost around $350). I thought a type 4 maintenance would cover type B (total cost would be $350), wrong assumption. around 4:00 PM, went to ‘Civic Motors’ to get the car, and paid ‘TOTAL INVOICE $572.37’. Wow, I went to change an oil and finished with $572. As I said my bad, shouldn’t assume and I should ask. Drove the car to home. Minor noise, assumed, it could be because of bumpy road (again wrong, shouldn’t assume, should go back to shop immediately). After driving couple of kilometers, noise increased. At that time, we were certain, there is a problem with the front wheel passenger side. Stopped the car and left it at secure place. At night we brought the car back home, noise got worst. May 25, 2012: early morning, drove the car to a local shop and asked mechanic to look to that (before I disturb ‘Civic Motors’ service center). What I saw was, both bolts of caliper were loose. The local mechanic tied it with fingers (too loose) and with tools. After couple of hours, called ‘Civic Motors’: 1) Requested to talk to service manager, put on hold, he was in a meeting, I explained to service advisor what for I went there, how much I paid at the end and the noise issue and the reason of the noise (found by a local shop), she put me on hold to check with technician. After 2 or 3 min, she was back to phone and explained what technician told her: ‘when I finished the work everything was good’. Wow, nice answer from ‘Civic Motors’ (a Honda dealership). She added that sometimes this happens; and I asked if this has happened before to others and the answer was ‘no it happened to you’. I asked again if I can talk to service manager, the answer was no, he is in a meeting. I asked if the answer from technician is the final answer of ‘Civic Motors’ and she confirmed. Called Honda head office: Customer Relations Toll Free: 1-888-9-HONDA-9 (1-888-946-6329) They said: this is a workman issue and I need to talk to service manager of ‘Civic Motors’, They can’t help even if I do not get any answer from dealership. I mentioned that I will open a case with BBB if I do not get proper answer. Called back ‘Civic Motors’, requested to talk to service manager, this time after a min, he answered: I started to explain, he stopped me and explained that he has already been told the story. His answer in brief: Time to time this happens, sorry; technicians forget to tie enough. But it was not dangerous you still had breaks. I was expecting more clarification but, nothing else, the answer was it. Now questions: 1) Was this only thing not done properly? 2) If a loose caliper of the front wheel is not dangerous (= no safety issue), would this car pass safety check at Civic Motors? if I would go there with loose caliper and request safety check certificate (while one of the most important items of the safety check is break) would this manager issue a certificate for me. However, because I could not remember detail of all conversations, what I have quoted here from civic motors, all are not exact. To make sure I am referring to exact conversation, I called them and requested audio file or transcript of our conversations. The answer was "we don’t record the conversations". More

My first visit to Civic Honda was to look at the 2012 Honda Pilot on a spring Saturday morning. Though it was quite busy, several of the sales staff still managed to stop and ask if we had any questions Honda Pilot on a spring Saturday morning. Though it was quite busy, several of the sales staff still managed to stop and ask if we had any questions without being too pushy. Len Schmidt accompanied us for a test drive and pleasantly answered all our questions. It felt more like having an old friend in the back seat than an actual car salesman. After getting home, I opted to use carsaver.ca to get find the best price from 3 local dealerships and that's when I first met Peter Kelly from Civic Motors Internet sales dept. Knowing the dealer cost of the vehicle thanks to carcostcanada.com, after including a reasonable profit for the dealership there was very little haggling and we quickly came to an agreement on the price. I don't know if I've ever had a more pleasant car buying experience. The bottom line is there were never any pushy sales tactics, just friendly staff going out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The experience was like night and day compared to my last vehicle purchase, which I would consider to be my worst car purchase experience, ever. I would recommend Civic Motors to anyone looking for a pleasant car shopping experience and fair prices. More
