I am disappointed at the failure to honor the 1year service warranty for GM dealership work. I came in to check the engine light code P0017 which I had read through my own OBD reader, I told the servi service warranty for GM dealership work. I came in to check the engine light code P0017 which I had read through my own OBD reader, I told the service advisor, this same code appeared with the previous owner back in Feb 2020 and the vehicle was serviced for same code (showed the papers) and the solenoids were replaced. When the vehicle was taken in, I was not told that I will be charged for the diasgnotics (i assumed this to be the case due to repeat code P0017). However, when my vehicle was returned suggesting timing chain replacement, I was asked to pay $169.99 for diagnostics. I did make a point of telling the advisor that the code was same P0017 as in Feb so at the minimum I would have expected the cost for diagnostics should be covered. To may utter dismay he declined. I decided not to pursue with the work, I am sure there are other dealerships in GTA who have much better approach on costing. I remain More
