After a little discussion with my sales man Linden Frig, we figured out I was not looking for a used jeep but a new one. Im a hard sale, this jeep is my 15th vehicle that i have purchased since i was 16, ;Linden had his work cut out for him. After finding me 9 different jeeps between the local lot, and their excess lot a few KM's down the road, we started to talk money. I was more then satisfied with the price i paid. Not only that the price was fair, but that they took the time 11 other dealerships around Edmonton didn't take the week prior when i was there test driving. I appreciated the straight forwardness that Mike Himer offered, and way that they were willing to put up with my us at the store completing the sale till 11pm on a Friday Night. When it came to sign the purchase the sales manager called to say that the price had to be increased ... he gain some excuse about a mistake in the advertised price. Not a large increase in the overall amount but over $1100, and certainly not what was advertised or discussed. I was told I was eligible for 3.99% financing but when the sale agreement was provided the rate had increased to 4.54%, so that added an extra $1500 to the overall cost. As I had sold a truck just prior to collecting the Ram I ended up going through with the deal but it still bothers me. Capital appears to have failed to follow the The Canadian Code of Advertising Standards. Alexandra Yun, Finance Manager, is either over-worked or not very attentive. I provided various emails with information and instruction but I was left frustrated by misleading or incomplete information from Alex. Furthermore, it took one month and numerous emails to get my deposit refunded. My experience with Finance was well-below my expectation. I have subsequently submitted a complaint to Advertising Standards Canada as I feel that I was misled. My advice to anyone is to deal carefully with Capital. Jade was great ... ALex not so. I felt good until the terms of the purchase got changed by Capital's management and the financing arrangements and discussions were below my expectation. The Ram 2500 that i purchased is excellent. Lukewarm Brought in a a Dodge Journey that I bought the year before,due to reliability problems. The staff were all to eager to get me into another car,mind you not respecting my budget...I wanted the vehicle at the same terms that I had on the Dodge Journey,but it seemed to have fallen on deaf ears. After spending the better part of the day trying to find something suitable,,they found me a vehicle,still beyond my budget. The car they found me was a Kia Sportage,much better than the Dodge Journey that I brought in. Then came the credit department . Nicole tried her best to mak this deal work,and then Seth came in asking me if my wife could co-sign. That was impossible since my wife has only a part time job. At that point I was ready to walk away from the deal. They called me the next day saying everything was OK and to come get the car. The car drives well and no complaints,but I may have to return the vehicle because it is putting a serious strain on my finances..... In addition,I visited the local Kia dealer,who in turn did promise me lower monthly payments, and into a 2016 model year vehicle. Very seriously thinking about this offer......and they are willing to listen and work with me. I must say,quite a different experience. Best thing for Capital Dodge Jeep is to buy out my financing agreement. More
