2021 F-150 5.0. Brought in to service for a burning oil/heavy blue smoke issue. Was told it could be a Fram oil filter that I put on as I do my own oil changes. I use full synthetic oil and this is don oil/heavy blue smoke issue. Was told it could be a Fram oil filter that I put on as I do my own oil changes. I use full synthetic oil and this is done every 5000kms religiously. When the engine is warm and at low speeds it blows heavy blue smoke out the exhaust like a diesel blows black. It’s embarrassing as people stare. After service I was told there was a charge of $288 as there was no fault found. My service advisor said not to pay as they will leave it open as she believes me that there is a problem. Also I was told to use a motorcraft filter. I bought one that day and did a new oil change the next day. Was told to check the oil level at 4800 kms and report back. That same day after the new oil change with the “proper” filter the truck was blowing blue still. No loss of power but for a new truck this shouldn’t be happening. Not happy. More
