To the sales manager. While you are checking on the actions of your people maybe you can ask them why three of them lied to us by saying that we had to take the car the way it was or they would sell it to another customer who had apparently been calling them for days ready to close the deal. Interestingly the same vehicle we wanted to buy was offered to us again and remained on your web site for weeks after we were told someone else was lined up to buy it. It is hard to recommend to people to buy at your dealership when we were lied to from when we got there until we left. We have not been the recipient of your "reaching out" yet but do not worry Josh has bought another car from a very good dealer in Edmonton who was happy to have Josh's $30,000 cash. Hi Again, This is Bryan from the Internet Department. Please call me when you have a chance as the trade-in value is based off many things including auction values ... with 160,00 km's we would not be keeping your vehicle on our lot to sell for $10,000 to $12,000 as there is too much risk selling a high mileage used vehicle like that retail to a customer. Therefore we would be sending to auction ... I find that with a vehicle like yours if you are wanting to get $10-$15,000 then you would have to sell privately (also other dealerships may also not show you the true value which clearly has upset you, ie: they don;t discount the vehicle or increase the selling price to show you higher trade-in value.) I can be reached anytime at 403-702-5306 and would like to see another appraisal from another dealership if you already got one ... lastly Kevin was let go from the company for stealing a dealership plate for use on a company vehicle and may have also set you up for some unrealistic expectations so we are very sorry for whatever communication that happened between you too. Bryan, You have my email address from any past correspondence we had. But, i truly felt that Rick wanted to kill this deal from the start. Also, I would have appreciated some up-front disclosure about why Kevin was let go. I understand that when we left on Saturday, a deal was no way agreed to by either party, and when I sat down yesterday, there was absolutely no room make by Rick for any further negotiation.

Tony there are numerous factors that come into play when we are evaluating a used vehicle for trade-in. Vehicles with 200,000 km's, check engine light on and other various things that need to be fixed all affect the value of a vehicle. Since we are not an Acura dealership we would be sending a vehicle like this to the auction as it is not something ideally kept on a Ford lot, especially given the condition on the vehicle. The sales person you originally dealt with was let go for reasons to protect our current and future customers and we are sorry you had to deal with someone different when arriving at the dealership. Customer service is our Number One priority and we are very far from being a dishonest dealership otherwise we would employee such employee's. We wish you all the best in your future dealings and hope you were able to sell or trade-in your Acura Successfully elsewhere. Thanks, Cam Clark Ford

Lastly to clarify the trade-in value has nothing to do with the discount you were asking for additionally off a truck that had already been reduced numerous times to sell quickly. You had placed a refundable deposit on the vehicle indicating you were ok with the price of the vehicle and when returning to have your vehicle appraised you wanted an additional $4500 off of the price you had already negotiated with us on the previous visit. Not sure how this was dishonest on our behalf? Non the less we are sorry you feel that way and wanted to clarify that the trade-in value has and will never have anything to do with the discount you receive off the vehicles we sell.
