3YR, 160,000KM WARRANTY NOT HONOURED I purchased a replacement transmission from CMP for my 2007 Cadillac Escalade Ext ($2,395.23) I would have been far better off picking one up from a w I purchased a replacement transmission from CMP for my 2007 Cadillac Escalade Ext ($2,395.23) I would have been far better off picking one up from a wrecker/junk yard for $900, This transmission will lock up or bind for a second and throw you into the steering wheel (when cold) shortly after going from reverse to drive, also when cold it may slip out of 3rd gear upon acceleration, reverse gear slips and chatters the clutch plates (yes the fluid is at correct level). I've had it in to CMP they wouldn't honour the warranty and had the dumbest excuses ever heard, once telling me the transmission is operating properly,(IT HAS NO REVERSE, but the other issues listed above only show up when cold as ive made very clear to them numerous times) so ill be either replacing the valve body myself or replacing the trans with one from a wrecker because I'm just guessing but I'm sure this slipping has done excessive damage to the clutch plates. if this is the case I will dismantle and document it with my go pro and it will be for all to see on you tube. on a side note, I called shaw for the valve body, The parts guy asked for reason and symptoms, after telling him the story, he said don't touch it/don't open it up and just bring it to them for warranty and he would have his service manager contact me for an appointment, I thanked him and got the call to bring it in of which they took the vehicle make/model and serial number, so when I get there Funny story, they tell me they don't warranty Cadillac. so off I go again with a head about to explode. this is the worst vehicle experience ever, then shaw calls me back to ask about my experience I kind of chuckled and said I'm just throwing the truck on kijiji, so he asks if they can help with a new truck haha, they cant even honour warranty on a transmission, I'm certainly not buying a GM product again. Q.when are GM truck interiors going to catch up with modern designs? they feel so cheap and look so old. I would just like to add, after talking to many people about this, I have yet to find anyone who had a positive experience at CMP, they tend to tell me there own story of paying for nothing, so not sure where the positive internet reviews came from? maybe themselves? And as for your automated response.... Go **** yourself. A few sales is nothing to you but I guarantee that lost business will far outweigh the simple fix needed to honour warranty on the junk transmission you sold me. cheers! Only after the drive train warranty ended, could they incorrectly diagnose the problem as an active fuel mgmt. problem. 2 weeks and 5 thousand dollars later the problem was worse. I reported my disapproval about the work done the next day. I returned the truck a couple weeks later, and after another week they came back with a collapsed piston, however they would only give an offer of 2500 towards a rebuilt engine worth 11 thousand dollars. The truck has fortunately been at a reputable shop and has had this piston problem fixed. They have proven the problem in this engine has existed for at least the last 2 years. All our service has been exclusively done by these people, and after being a loyal customer for the past 3 vehicles and servicing every little thing they could actually diagnose correctly there I can tell you the service there is unacceptable.. Since the latest staff changes the service has actually gotten worse. More

It all started with a puncture in the tire that had been acting up since the original purchase day. I called the service department who told me to deal with goodyear who sent me back to service to another service advisor that didn't even deal with that area then back to them and this went on for 2 days!!! Finally the pre owned sales manager helped me out. So forward to when i went to get it fixed. I specifically asked if i should book an appointment was told no it would be 45 minutes....yeah thats a load of horsesh** . It took 3 hours and when i inquired about my truck i got the same piss poor attitude from the service advisor as i did from the moment i walked in. I also had the protection plan which id like to use so i reluctantly called the service department to book and they sent me on another chase of push the job to someone else. Yes they give 10 free oil changes with my truck purchase but honestly i would rather send them back and take my business else where! This is the worst service department EVER! Would never buy from them again! Bob Thompson, Ryan King, Jonathan and also Austin in the used center are incredible and give me a bit of respect for this dealership More

While buying CMP offered first free oil change for both the cars and issued 2 coupons. Unfortunately we missed the coupons and we were about to inform CMP. But in between we got a customer survey call from CMP and we have informed them about the missing coupons. They have confirmed that, since it is there in the records no need to worry and they assured the free oil change without coupon. Later when we called CMP service at Calgary NE location, after checking with the Assistant Service Manager, confirmed that they cannot do the free oil without coupon. So we have contacted Service Manager as well with our concerns. He started explaining how coupon works in a harsh way. Just for $60 we did not want to listen his story. Request to the top Management While buying the cars we got decent customer service from Mr.Collin Frank. However your service manager’s (both, Service Manager and Assistant Service Manager) attitude towards customers is the worst we have ever experienced. We never expected these kind of ridiculous and baseless explanations. So request CMP top management to focus on these serious customer concerns and please advice your service managers to provide decent customer service , which is a basic requirement for any business. More

Ever since then whenever I go for oil change there is an issue with the car but lucky enough it is covered by warranty since the subsequent issues arise from power train. Beware of buying used cars they have on their lot from rental companies and they will not admit that they got them drom rental companies. I was lucky enough to find a stuck of rental receipts in the car. More

Les the body shop manager said all he cared about was that I was taken care and had the truck covered under warranty. When I picked truck up they only repaired half the truck and said it had thin paint only on the front of the truck??? Les would not call me or communicate with me, never gave me an option to pay to repair the rest of the truck!!! I sent and email to the senior management team at CMP Auto and as well they ignored me. I would not recommend CMP Auto to anybody unless you want half the job completed. Worst service I have ever experienced from a GM dealer in my life!!! More
Crooks!! CMP is a bunch of crooks. Got a letter from GM for a recall said wa covered 100% and they blamed the problem on me. Go figure that one! Staff is unpro CMP is a bunch of crooks.
