LOST A CUSTOMER'S RESPECT!!! We received an invitation and a personal phone call to come by to look at trading in our Crosstour (which we love) at the Birchwood Honda on Regent an We received an invitation and a personal phone call to come by to look at trading in our Crosstour (which we love) at the Birchwood Honda on Regent and made an appointment with Kanwal Preet. We were looking at possibly trading in for a Honda Accord Coupe to lower our payments and gas consumption. Took an interest in the Accord Couple on the showroom floor and wanted a test drive, but Kanwal could't find a vehicle with those specs (4 cyl, leather seats etc.) so we took a 'similar' vehicle for a test drive and considered going forward even though it doesn't compare at all to our Crosstour. However...when it came time to 'make the deal' it became a total nightmare. We made it clear we only had so much time that day and they assured that was no problem. Kanwal knew and confirmed that the vehicle we were interested in was the showroom model but WOULDN'T confirm that the numbers he showed us was in fact on that vehicle. We even spoke with Joey or Joel, the General Sales Manager who told us he would make the numbers work. We gave him our keys so he could look at our car and assess the trade in. Once numbers were shown Kanwal couldn't tell us it was the vehicle we had talked about ...and the payments were not what we expected. It becomes a big game for them..."wait, I'll see if I can make this happen"..."can you wait a couple of minutes and I'll talk to the GSM"...It got so frustrating that my husband who is generally quite calm got very upset and wanted to end this charade. However, Kanwal didn't seem to hear what he was saying and continued to 'work' on more numbers. We asked for our keys back and Kanwal still ignored us. Finally he said he would go get the keys however he didn't come back so my husband went after him. They don't seem to get 'customer service' and I highly doubt we will continue with Honda again. We will be hanging on to our Crosstour till our lease ends and then go to a new product...even though I love the Honda vehicles we have owned in the past I will NOT go through this again with rude salesmen!!! I even overheard the saleslady beside us getting upset with her customers when they questioned the sale. LOST A CUSTOMER'S RESPECT!!! More

Good service overall but Need clearer communication of hidden costs. The cost was $50.00 more than was expected. People makes the difference I've been with Birchwood Honda on Regent now for close to 20 years, buying new cars and have them serviced there. The people there make you feel like I've been with Birchwood Honda on Regent now for close to 20 years, buying new cars and have them serviced there. The people there make you feel like family starting with the guys at service kiosk, sales people and managers. We as a family "competing" against our neighbors who are a Honda family as well. The battery was dead within a week and left me stranded at work. It took hours of calling back and fourth to get them to cover the replacement battery. I called to use my roadside assistance package, and was told it will be an 11 hour wait. The clutch failed and wouldn't release all the way (not a wear issue) and was told that my warranty won't cover it. The clutch master cylinder failed and I had to replace it myself. A front coil spring broke and I was informed that my front and rear suspension would all have to be replaced due to wear ($1500 job). I replaced it myself only to discover it was completely unnecessary. And had some other parts fail (a/c, coolant temp sensor, transmission synchros). All of this within 7000km. By 7000km, the estimate for repairs was $7500. My warranty covered a $200 sensor that I had to pay a $50 deductible on. Steer clear of Birchwood. This is the last car I ever buy from that company. More
