Neverever Buy a Ford from BIRCHWOOD Ford Winnipeg people please avoid this place. I have never given any work place a bad review ever, But I feel this is my moral responsibility to put this out there for people. Let me walk you through what I experienced. Time of sale: The sales person used, so called work sheet, to present the numbers. I made a counter offer for the car and they agreed to it but they forced me to take their BIRCHWOOD ADVANTAGE (in other words - Birchood taking advantage over you by charging extra fee) I saw value in tire exam and agreed to take it. Therefore my total cost was increased to another $800. Now my worksheet said $xx,800 + tax (including Birchwood advantage) Now comes the service time, I had a leak in my tire. No.1 this program is only honored in birchwood stores where as other insurance companies covers almost all the workshops. (BIRCHWOOD ADVANTAGE - forcing you to drive to their service centers) Well I made arrangements for a shuttle before hand but it took them about 30min to get me ride to work. Then shuttle picked me up 4hrs later and when I reached there the car was just getting in the shop. They made me wait another 45min. Remember all this is happening in work hours (because you are bounded to go there) But the service was unable to fix a simple tire leak. Now I have a flat tire again in the morning and I am late for work. I went back to the service centre and asked what can they Do? Reply: leave the car here we will take a look at it. At this point I asked the dealership to cancel my "BIRCHWOOD ADVANTAGE " and refund a prorated value of it. REPLY: BECAUSE THE PAPERWORK SAYS THAT THE CAR WAS $ XX,800 + tax, therefore you paid $ 0 for BIRCHWOOD ADVANTAGE. So now I am left with a flat tire and an insurance with incompetent service team. People just buy a ford from anywhere but not from BIRCHWOOD. I will highly recommend Vickar Ford. even though I didn't buy car from them their delivery coordinator spent almost an hour to program my phone with the car and all of the staff was super polite. Please please please don't let these crooked dealerships take advantage of you. A car is a big purchase and you will always need a reliable mechanic to maintain it. Please make a purchase at a place where staff is honest and service team is capable of diagnosing the problems in timely manner. More
