They had a used car that I was interested in and also recommended to me another one that had recently come off a lease which I liked even better. Being female did not matter to the staff here. I was able to negotiate a fair price and purchase my vehicle without my husband holding my hand. The vehicle I purchased had to have a new stereo put in. I unknowingly left my favorite CD in the old stereo when I had it serviced. To my surprise, Barrie Subaru had my CD sent by courier to my house! Now that's what I call service. It's service like that you don't see often enough. Thanks Barrie Subaru! More

Good service aside from the incorrect signal light diagnosis I recently brought my Subaru Impreza in to the Barrie dealership for a servicing. On top of the recommended list of services they gave me, I also spec I recently brought my Subaru Impreza in to the Barrie dealership for a servicing. On top of the recommended list of services they gave me, I also specifically asked for my front driver's signal light to be changed, as the left turn signal was clicking at a faster rate, which I recognized as a sign that one of the bulbs is dying/burnt out. Now, the overall service provided was great, including a loaner vehicle overnight, since my vehicle wouldn't be ready until the next day. However, when I went to pick up my car, I was told that the technician who looked at my signal light had not changed the signal light, and instead said that I must have had my left turn signal frequency increased, and that it would require re-wiring, which would require another appointment. Knowing this to be incorrect, I subsequently took my car to my local Canadian Tire, where they changed the signal light as I requested, and "miraculously" the frequency of the signal went back to normal. I'm not sure if the technician had simply never seen a burnt out signal light before, or was trying to "up-sell" me on a re-wiring of my car, but either way, I was definitely unimpressed with that part of my service. I was also told that I would be contacted with more information from the technician the day after I got my car back, which never happened either. I had to wait a little bit for my vehicle to come in and everyone was more than accommodating by keeping me up to date on arrival time and provided me with a loaner car free of charge when delivery time didn't quite line up. After the unexpected demise of my beloved vehicle I entered the harrowing world new car sales. I was unprepared to be condescended and “mansplained” to about why a quality product that cost as much as a down payment on a modest home would need to be covered by an extended and exorbitantly priced warranty. One fellow pulled out a brightly colored graph to demonstrate that I could count on expensive repairs virtually the day after my 3 year bumper to bumper warranty expired. The sales pitches were delivered by hungry young men, whose tactics included keeping me waiting for ridiculously rude amounts of time while they went to the "magic room" where they would consult with the grand pubaa of deal making, and come back with a denial of concessions or discounts that I knew through research, were possible. At 9 pm of that memorable day, I gave them a heaping slice of wisdom, left them curled in the fetal position, and walked out of there with my bank account intact. Fast forward: Subaru Barrie. I called and asked to speak to a woman who wouldn't be a “know it all”, had humility and integrity and would work hard to get me what I was looking for with minimal condescension and sales tactics. The highly intuitive and insightful Melissa D’Addurno, paused on the phone for a moment and then cheerfully told me to stand-by. Enter Janna Larkin. Janna took me through the process with the clarity and sincerity that my Social Worker heart was starving for. I wrote down an offer. She went to see the resident Grand Pubaa of deal making, Paul Santaera in his completely visible and accessible "magic room" and 10 minutes later, she comes back with discounts on things that I hadn't even thought of. Next the finance guy, Alex Green, who is going to sell me extended warranty and undercoating. Here we go.... We have a healthy, respectful and mutually enlightening email exchange on the price of peace of mind. He has his viewpoint and I have mine. We reach an equitable agreement with incredible discounts, and personal satisfaction that I was being heard and voila, I am the new proud owner of an awesome, brand new, loaded 2016 Subaru Forester that was sold to me by real life people who didn't sell their souls to the corporate slave masters that exist to only separate you and me from our hard earned dollars. To top it off, I got a loving care filled tutorial on the bells and whistles that come with my car from Nicole Gorshe. After many hours of going over the minutia of the multitude of documents and the contortions I asked of all the above people to perform in order for me to feel safe and heard and satisfied with this major purchase, I feel I now have a place filled with people I can count on. People who will look me in the eye and be truthful, and yes, sincere with me. Professional, yes, but above all, Human. For this, they have secured my respect and my loyalty. That is my review. And if you got this far, Subaru Barrie is a place you need to go if you are feeling vulnerable about buying a car. If in doubt, ask an engineer and, do your homework. With all the information available to consumers, staying uninformed is a choice. Peace. More

Mike in finance was very knowledgable and made the application process quick and easy. I worked with Nicole in delivery upon pick up of my car. They indirectly robbed me on my Trade in 2011 Impreza w/ 30k they only paid $11k to a $20,000 car.. Then winter comes, this happened on Holy Thursday, im driving home in the highway and stepping on my BRAKES its GONE!!! Almost got hit by a freagin purolator truck! Im downshifting and downshifting used it as my brakes! and swerved my safety to snow bank at the side of the road. The WORST part is DEALERSHIP said I dont have any ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE???SERVICE SAID I DONT HAVE ANY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE SINCE I BOUGHT IT.even the day i purchase it??! So i towed my car to nearest subaru dealership, and SUBARU BARRIE doesnt even pay the damage that I DONT HAVE BRAKES ON MY STI,they dont pay the towing and car rental for 4days...I EXTREMELY NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP, SALES PEOPLE, AND SERVICE.
