Normally, we have not had issues with the service at Airport Ford. This time was an exception. I was told the car would be about 2 H 20 M. It was 5 hours. No one called to let us know what was happe Airport Ford. This time was an exception. I was told the car would be about 2 H 20 M. It was 5 hours. No one called to let us know what was happening. I phoned after 3 hours and could not get an answer in service. A half hour later got an answer and was told our service person would be back from lunch in 10 min. and he would call. Never got a call. Finally got an UBER to the location. The service guy we had dealt with was not there and another service person told me that the care needed a wheel alignment "because the tires were really messed up". The alignment would be done in "about 1 min.". About a half hour later, the original service guy_ Scott- came and reported that the vehicle was finished. I told him I was not happy to be told that the service would take 2 h and 20 min and then have it take 5 H with not phone call, no return of my call to them etc. He handed me a Tim Horton's card which I left there. He then told me he would only charge half of the normal wheel alignment charge. According to the printout of the alignment test, only two tires required alignment so it really was not a discount but the proper charge for 2 tires not four. Scott had also made reference to the fact that since I did not wait at the dealership, the service took longer? That doesn't seem like a fair policy. I realize he might not know exactly how long a service might take, from 2 h 20 m to 5 hours is not acceptable especially with no communication. More
I feel like I should start with my personal background. I was in sales for a luxury automotive brand for quite a few years. So, when I tell you that I have extensive knowledge of the Industry, the games and the process plus my expectations from sales and service are very high, that is probably an understatement. I had visited about 5 dealerships in the GTA before driving all the way out to Hamilton. Every previous dealer I went to go see from Toronto to Burlington, I had the worst experiences with. Luckily I came to Airport Ford Lincoln to test drive a specific model of vehicle that I wanted and they happen to have available to drive. I was eventually planning on factory ordering when I found a dealer I liked. On my arrival at this dealer, I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Gracie in sales. The level of service I received from Steve is unparalleled. He was patient when listening to exactly what I wanted. Offered suggestions that made a huge difference in my order and benefitted me. And most of all he was honest. I placed my factory order with ease. He kept me informed as I waited for my build and send me all the info in real time. Once my vehicle arrived, I had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Chris Daley in the finance department. Again, I could not say enough good things about my experience. We talked about what products I wanted and were beneficial to me and which ones were not. Being from the same background, I knew exactly what I wanted. I was also expecting the typical “unnecessary products upsell”. That never happened. Every step of the way each member of this dealership that I dealt with was completely advocating for me, what I wanted and what was best for my situation. At no point did I ever feel as if they were trying to “pull one over” on me. Quite the opposite. Over the years, I’ve seen so many people being taken advantage of from sales people, and dealers. This will not happen with the people at Airport Ford Lincoln. Steve Gracie is the type of sales person that I would feel 100% comfortable with sending all my friends and family to and not feel like I had to be there for the process to make sure it went smooth. I would know that they were in good hands. Thank you Steve and Chis! I loooove my new ride and now you have a life long customer. More
After dealing with another dealer for a long time, I was pleasantly surprised by the treatment and respect I received from John Drysdale when I got my news 2022 Corsair in June 2022. Another pleasant experi pleasantly surprised by the treatment and respect I received from John Drysdale when I got my news 2022 Corsair in June 2022. Another pleasant experience was when I went for my first service in Jan 2023. My contact at the service department was Kyle Bekonsa who looked after my needs in a superb way Highly recommended dealership More
Oh how do we begin. The good start? The part that makes you question what passes a safety? Anyway. Started well, everything was pretty easy to deal with. Had the truck I The good start? The part that makes you question what passes a safety? Anyway. Started well, everything was pretty easy to deal with. Had the truck I wanted and did a deal with Ken and Jim on a 2017 Ford F450 Platinum with 71,000 kms and shipped it out to Calgary myself. Ken had said it passed their inspection and the advantage program gave me piece of mind about it. After sending the money and waiting for the truck to arrive I was pretty excited when I saw how nice the truck looked. I drove it to my mechanic to do Alberta’s out of province inspection to get it registered. An oil leak, a bad one from the timing cover, (my shop quoted $3700) I Spoke to Jim (used car manager) and he assured me they wouldn’t leave me out to dry and where it was less than 30 days and where it was shipped, no extra mileage on it that this would be taken care of but he had to go through the right channels. Understandable, so when he asked about me taking it to a Ford shop to have an inspection done on it I asked if they would cover a diagnosis charge. He said sure no problem. I took it to the ford dealership and they did an inspection. The inspection gets done, the ford store confirms the oil leak and quoted $5456 for the repair. I would have to fix it before this F450 could pass the mandatory Alberta out of province inspection before I can even register it. I call to the store and Jim is on vacation. Chris was the new car manager I spoke with and he needed to speak to his GM as Jim was away on holidays. After Chris reviewed the quote from the ford store, spoke with their General Manager and took a day to call me back I was informed that the store would cover $1000 dollars of this as it ***WOULD HAVE PASSED THEIR SAFETY INSPECTION*** in Hamilton ON. Now I have a truck I spent a lot of money that is going to cost me a few thousand more to even register. Would not recommend this store at all. Now I have a truck that I can’t stand the story behind and the frustration it’s caused.. More
