Good car, bad sales experience I recently went on the hunt for a used Mazda and decided to visit several dealerships for test drives and price comparisons. I visited 3 Mazda dealer I recently went on the hunt for a used Mazda and decided to visit several dealerships for test drives and price comparisons. I visited 3 Mazda dealerships and one Toyota dealership, including Achilles Mazda. All of the dealerships had my chosen make and model with comparable mileage and condition, and it was fun to chat with each sales representative during my visit. While I had a great first impression of the car, I can't say the same for the sales representative. I hope this person is one bad apple amongst the group, but I was a little put off by the unannounced add-on's stuck in my pricing breakdown. When I questioned my rep about one surprise $458 fee, it was implied I would be foolish to refuse it. Also, $37 for Carproof reporting? Every other dealership showed me a Carfax report for free. When I got home and did some light reading, I discovered that my sales person had broken OMVIC registered dealer rules (reference: A car-buying guide for Ontarians. Oct 10, 2014, Toronto Star) when they tried to sneak these two charges onto my quote WITHOUT ANY DISCUSSION WHATSOEVER. I will purchase an add-on if I see it's value. I was never given the chance to consent to or decline said add-ons until I brought them up myself. I hope management reads this and does some continuing education with their staff. Or firing. More

Beyond Quality Service So to get started, a few months back, I was dealing with @CarLadyLisa at Achilles for a DEMO 2014 3 GT. But since I was not done school, I backed out and decided to wait before upgrading my 2010 3. About a week ago, I contacted Lisa (as I promised myself I would go to her for my purchase), I requested a quote for a brand new 2015 3 GS. Since I recently graduated, I thought it was finally time to upgrade. Lisa threw me numbers which I was definitely happy with compared to pricing I got from my local Mazda dealer all the way up here in Sudbury. The timing was right, and I purchased my first brand new car! Lisa made the purchase easy and fantastic! It was a great experience dealing with her, and I would recommend her 100%! (Even my mom said she would consider Lisa for her next vehicle!) If I'd live closer, I would service my car at Achilles, but unfortunately I can't travel 4 hours for servicing! More

Best Experience I have ever had buying a car Contacted the dealership via email, was provided comprehensive pricing and detail. The entire transaction was done remotely, and the only time we had Contacted the dealership via email, was provided comprehensive pricing and detail. The entire transaction was done remotely, and the only time we had to visit was to pick up our new CX-5. There was no pressure, complete disclosure and the entire transaction went as expected.
