Wow, great experience. Pleasantly surprised! Went into Abbotsford VW with the intention of only test driving a new 2014 Golf wagon. I actually expected to buy it somewhere else. Being that this was my 4th VW purchase over the years, and having been familiar with this dealership as Valley Autohaus in the past, I had zero intention of leaving a penny there. I was very pleasantly surprised to find things have changed...and I should point out that I am probably the world's most difficult customer...not so easy to impress. We were approached by Mel, who was friendly and helpful, without any high pressure sales tactics (which would have had me turning on my heel). She arranged the test drive with minimal fuss, asked if there was something particular we had in mind (there was, a new Wolfsburg Edition TDI Golf Wagon) and sent us on our way with a wave. We had a great test drive, instantly fell in love with the car (it's a VW, duh..?!) and returned a little hesitant, not quite ready for the heavy high pressure sales pitch to start, and the inevitable words "what can I do to get you into this car today??" Didn't happen. Mel was ready with the info on remaining Wolfsburgs in BC, answered all my questions, and made it very clear that she was utterly dismayed at my less than positive opinion of the former dealership and would work very hard to change it. She did. She found me exactly what I was looking for, and along with Jason, arranged for me to have it for a price I could live with (no easy feat). They arranged to have the vehicle trucked in for me, and threw in a few perks to sweeten the deal even more. They were exceptionally busy that day, and yet we never felt like we were just part of the crowd. And yet, there was still no pressure! Bill did up the paperwork for us with, which went smoothly. We had a few hiccups with delayed delivery of the vehicle due to issues beyond their control, but Chris and Mel made it up to me! All in all a very positive experience. I would highly recommend this dealership, great team, and I think I can honestly say Melissa is THE best!! Absolutely phenomenal customer service! More

This is how dealerships should be! After researching/visiting several vehicle companies I sent an email to Abbotsford VW in regards to how much they would offer for my trade in. Josh vanden Eykel responded to my email and the response I received was personalized (not the generic "come in -insert name here-and we will tell you"). When I attended later that day Josh was very knowledgeable about the vehicles and friendly. Sadly, after purchasing a few vehicles now, that isn't easy to find! We discussed what I was looking for and Josh guided me to the right vehicle, he didn't try to upsell me with features I didn't want or play any annoying tiresome games (like the old "we can get the one you want, but it comes with more features or far away so we need to charge extra" or "oh that's not including tax and freight and ..."). After a decision was made I sat down with Mgr Chris Preston and I was braced for the uncomfortable negotiation process. Before I knew it I had happily signed the dotted line, it was a easy process where we both stated what was desired and came to a mutually beneficial agreement! I'm still in shock! No numbers games that confuse and stress me out, for the first time it was a relief to buy/trade a vehicle! Then I met with financier Stefani Baron, fantastic and knowledgeable lady! No one pressured me to buy warranties, rust proofing etc. The products were explained to me until I understood properly (this can take a few tries lol) and there was no questioning me if I declined. Throughout the process everyone made sure I was comfortable with coffee etc and they even had a diaper change station with stocked diapers/wipes! This was particularity impressive because I thought I was the only person to take a baby car shopping :-). Josh even helped me unload personal items from my previous vehicle upon trade in and made sure the Jetta I test drove could accommodate my stroller in its trunk before I decided to buy it. Anyways I'm really impressed, all the other employees were very friendly also, even though I wasn't directly dealing with them. Good work everybody!!!
