I have to say I was very disappointed with the way the purchase of my new vehicle was handled by the sales manager, after a very positive experience with the salesperson. A price was clearly posted on the windshield of the vehicle, describing it as a "Managers Special". My wife took a test drive, loved the vehicle, and I decided to buy the car. When I was ready to accept the price of the "Managers Special", I was told that wasn't an "actual" price. It included various discounts for prior Hyundai owners, military members, etc... The sales manager then worked up a price literally on the back of an envelope, adding figures by hand coming to an overall vehicle price. My wife was anxious to have the car for the next day, so I said fine with the price after some minimal haggling. I admit it was naive of me to accept the price without looking at the detailed components, but after the fine experience with the salesman I figured the sales manager was cut from the same cloth. After I agreed to the price, I rushed to the bank to get a certified check and when I handed it to the dealership, I was told that I needed to come back again the next day because the finance manager had left for the day. When I went back the next day, I got the details on how the overall price was determined, not handwritten on the back of an envelope, but the way I should have gotten the details the prior day when I was negotiating the price. It came out to over $1500 of fees that had no place being added to a figure called a "Managers Special". At that point I protested, but the car was already with me, my certified check from the previous day deposited, and I just chalked it up to being naively trusting of a car dealer. I bought an Audi last year through an Audi dealer and they were up front from start to finish. Hyundai has some great products, they just need the right people selling them. In the coming days I plan to detail this disappointing experience with Hyundai of America, as well as on other consumer web sites. When I mentioned to Hyundai of Danbury that I planned to post these details of my purchase on various consumer forums, they reached out to me to discuss my sales experience. Other than noting that they may consider changing the description of a "Manager's Special", none of the other points I brought up seemed to concern them much. More

My experience with this dealership was great. Everybody was very friendly and they were willing to work with me. I was able to get a great deal on a new Hyundai, with some perks that no other dealership of was very friendly and they were willing to work with me. I was able to get a great deal on a new Hyundai, with some perks that no other dealership offered. I will be (and have already been) referring people I know to Danbury Hyundai. It's worth it! More

Received the 2012 elantra gls in our first choice of color (simmering white pearl)& 10 days earlier then expected.Roland is GREAT answered all our questions & sometimes twice.Dondi the general sale mana color (simmering white pearl)& 10 days earlier then expected.Roland is GREAT answered all our questions & sometimes twice.Dondi the general sale mananger made sure the deal was right.Now as for Steve Kackmarek director of finance he stated he could beat my credit union interest rate well he did,from 3.1% on 66 mo. auto payroll bimonthly payment & i had to do the foot work between bank & dealer, to 2.75% one monthly with a 45 day grace payment all at the dealer.GREAT SALE WELL DONE. From start to finish, I was truly impressed with this dealership. We were treated like top notch clients. From helping find the options we wanted to helping us decide what was important to have as far dealership. We were treated like top notch clients. They gave us the information we needed to make informed decisions that we are very happy with. It was a pleasure working with both Dondi Wright and Scott Salzman. They were both extremely knowledgeable and helpful helping me find the car I was looking for. This dealership could not do more to make my experience a pleasant one. My salesperson Scott spent time on the different options available with no pressure. First - NO HIGH PRESSURE!!! We met with Joe who took all the time we needed, answered our questions, let my wife and I test drive with no time pressure - we both wanted to experience local and highway drivi the time we needed, answered our questions, let my wife and I test drive with no time pressure - we both wanted to experience local and highway driving in 2 models and he let us go until we were satisfied. Then when we returned, he discussed the options, coices and the price differences. There was no 'how can I get you into this car?" or "what if I..." He thanked us, took notes for himself and we were on our way. A few days later we decided to buy, called him, and he helped even on his day off and when calling one day where he was off at 5PM he was still there with a customer at 6:30. Real dedication. Dondi, the manager who approves deals was fair, had an honest back and fourth and we reached an agreement which I clearly understood the ins and outs of the invoice and the deal. Great Job Danbury Hyundai! More

Upon arriving I was greeted with a professional manner. I stated the vehicle I was interested in and Dondi Wright brought me to the vehicles he had available. He was very professional and helpful.
