I’ve lived most of my life in Iowa City where I managed a family business until 1997. I then started selling cars in Cedar Rapids. I have been a CR Toyota since August of 2012. I have a large following of happy customers with whom I stay in touch with a mailing of my “ Recipe Of The Month”. I have been happily married for 51 years, yes to the same woman, Susan. We have two children and five grandchildren who, unfortunately, live quite a distance from Iowa City. I enjoy playing golf, following the Hawkeyes, and, on occasion, making barbeque, especially ribs. Working with customers, finding them the perfect vehicle and making them the perfect deal is what I really enjoy about the car business.

Easy process for a first time car buyer Toyota of Cedar Rapids did a great job of explaining and walking me through the process of buying a car. Service was very friendly. Professional, courteous, respectful.....EXCELLENT! I’ve purchased several vehicles from CR Toyota. When it came time to buy my son a car, I started shopping around. I quickly discovered several other I’ve purchased several vehicles from CR Toyota. When it came time to buy my son a car, I started shopping around. I quickly discovered several other dealerships didn’t even compare. CR Toyota is modern, very clean, they have an excellent service department, their dealers are knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I could go and on. I won’t go anywhere else for my future car purchases. I had an amazing experience, yet again, from the dealer, to finance, to manager, etc. More

Best experience I ever had I live in the Chicago area and was in the market for a new 4Runner for my wife. The local dealer here didn't seem very eager to find me what I was lo I live in the Chicago area and was in the market for a new 4Runner for my wife. The local dealer here didn't seem very eager to find me what I was looking for. Because my wife is from Cedar Rapids and we were heading there for Thanksgiving the following week I figured I'd call and see if CR Toyota could help. They transferred me to a gentleman named Steve Strauss who said he'd find the car and call me the next day. Sure enough, he found the car and we did the deal over the phone. I showed up the day before Thanksgiving and everything was ready. I cannot begin to tell you how easy everyone at CR Toyota made this for us. They truly are in a class of their own. I now plan to buy all future vehicles from this dealer, even if it means a 230 mile drive to get there. More
