Mr. Costello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your experience with our company. We disagree with your review, and we certainly do not deserve it. Your vehicle went through an extensive pre-delivery inspection before you received it. Everything was checked out and in perfect working order. When you called your sales rep Steve Bednar the next day to report having issues, I immediately authorized him to bring you a loaner car and bring your vehicle back to our service facility to have it diagnosed and repaired. Additionally, I called you three times and left you three messages on your voicemail for you to call me back. I even included my cell phone number for you to contact me directly. As of today, you have never returned any of my calls. You told Steve not to bring you a loaner car and not get your vehicle to bring it here for repair. Instead, you took your vehicle to the Genesis dealer in Sarasota. They currently have your car and did not provide you with a loaner vehicle. Additionally, they have the parts on order needed to repair your vehicle. Please get in touch with me if you wish to discuss this review with me in person. George first you said you left two messages on my voicemail but my voicemail was full and wasn’t taking any new messages never got any text messages either. Second on the loaner Steve told me he would have someone drive down ,I would have to drive them back and then back again to Sarasota.All this extra time and energy because the car wasn’t checked out completely.Third and most important the car was released with a manufacturing defect that could have ended in a serious accident.So I have a hard time giving a more favorable review to your dealership .Still waiting on my car going on a month haven’t driven it one full day yet. No one has called to see how I am making out .My voicemail has been working fine for the past two weeks so I haven’t missed any calls..I feel that all that counts is what kind of review you get.

Mr. Costello, We are here to help you any way we can. At this point your Genesis is at another Genesis dealer in another city and any experience you’re having is not within our control as a result. I have called you, in fact I did leave three messages the very first day you were having problems. All three messages were properly recorded on your voice mail and I even left you my personal cell phone to contact me directly. Since that day I have left you three more messages and left you my cell phone number as well, including one yesterday 3/18/2022 at 12:40 pm. You have not returned my calls, perhaps there is some issue with your voice mail but it wasn’t apparent to me as I was able to leave you voice mails. Mr Tarr I have left 6-7 messages over the past two weeks asking you to call me back.I understand you were away as was I but I still found time to call and discuss the issues with my car. Yes my car is at another dealership that’s because there was a brake fluid leak on the manufactures side.I was told by the Genesis app to get the car to the nearest dealership asap.which just happened to be Gettel Sarasota.Today the car will be there a month and I’m still not sure when I wii get it back.Since then I have received two more surveys concerning my experience with Crown Hyundai.I have been reluctant to fill them out until I spoke to you.I have called twice today and still yet no reply.I will wait untilMonday at that point I will fill them out according to what my experience has been dealing with Crown.I hope to hear from you before then. Friday for example I left you six voice mails on your cell ending in 1234, am I calling the wrong number? I have left you my personal cell phone a few times which is the fastest way to reach me. I have yet to receive a call back on my cell phone and I’ve returned every call you’ve left me, which I acknowledge. Again, we are sorry you’ve had any issue with your Genesis and I am here to help. Mr Tarr I have gotten 0 messages from youI I am the one leaving messages on your machine and even with one of your secretaries to be sure you received it I have gotten no text messages or voicemails .I Truely believe you are trying to avoid talking to me for whatever reason I’m not sure.I have spoken to the Genesis case manager many times and the service department at Gettel..Never once have you left a voicemail for me .This silly game you are playing about reaching out to me is total xx. Dear Mr. Tarr: After our conversation this morning, I wanted to get one thing straight. I was not trying to work out some sort of deal between us regarding my reimbursement for better reviews, as you insinuated. The reimbursement I was looking for was an extension of my warranty from 5 to 7 years for the bumper-to-bumper. I think that was fair considering my car was bone dry of brake fluid when I brought it into Gettel Hyundai Sarasota, as described by the service agent at Gettel dealership. The possibility of further damage to the car because of the break line leak is unknown. You claim to have no responsibility for this issue and that the vehicle was thoroughly checked out before it was released. Well, I feel otherwise, that your dealership does bare responsibility. I was driving a car that was leaking break fluid from a manufacturing defect. This leak started as soon as I picked the car up and probably well before to be that bone dry in 48 hours. Twenty four of which was a Sunday and I didn’t drive it and couldn’t take it in to the dealership. I was willing to take responsibility for the miscommunication we had because of a phone problem on my side. The fact that you didn’t see or feel any responsibility now leads me to take further action. Yes I would have changed my review based on the fact that you, as a General Manager, understood and showed some empathy toward a customer who drove a dangerous car off your lot, had to wait 32 days to have the problem fixed, had difficulty corresponding with you for four weeks. My phone was an issue, but you could have sent me texts or emails when you realized I had called so often and wasn’t responding to your return calls. The picture I have now of this dealership is out the door and forgotten. Extending my warranty 2 years would have been the right thing to do and it would have shown me there was a true concern on your part for my troubles. Yes I would have changed my review, not because of the compensation, but because it would have shown you understood the troubles I’ve encountered. That’s what a good General Manager would have done.
