I had the worst possible experience buying a car from Leif Johnson Ford: 1. Once an agreement was reached on the price, the Used Car Manager tried to renege on the agreement by trying to increase the p Leif Johnson Ford: 1. Once an agreement was reached on the price, the Used Car Manager tried to renege on the agreement by trying to increase the price by $2000. I had to remind him that this constituted a type of fraud. 2. Since I was going to fly-in from El Paso to pick the car, the dealership refused to pick me from Bergstrom airport which is not even 20 minutes away from the dealership. They had other important things to worry about. 3. I had a tough time getting anyone to pick-up the phone. I received a weird call from a random young woman looking for the salesman. She was questioning me about him. 4. No conversation was straightforward. I always felt like I was dealing with shady individuals. The Used Car Manager was always in a hurry. I kept asking him about any damage to the car. He kept saying that it was clean. Not sure what he meant by the car being clean. They seemed to be doing me a favor by selling me this car. 5. The managers (including the Finance Manager) seemed unfamiliar with how to sell a car out-of-state. How could this be? He said it will take many weeks to have the documents ready. I had to walk him through on how to do it. They used an online process to sign documents but the process is incomplete. You still have to physically sign some documents. 6. When I was not able to go to the dealership in person due to an accident, there was confusion about how to ship the car. They wanted me to pay for someone to drive it to El Paso and for me to pay for the person to fly back to Austin. In the end, they overcharged me for a transporter to deliver. 7. The entire time, the dealership personnel knew that this car was damaged, completely painted, and repaired. The passenger door and the hood clearly didn't close all the way correctly (as an example). These were obvious problems that they knew about but didn't disclose. The car also has hail damage. Instead, the dealership hid behind the vague Carfax that just stated minor damage. "All we know is what is in Carfax." Really? 8. They never sent me the title and a hard copy of bill of sale to get the car registered. All agreements amounted to "adhesion agreements" to try to protect themselves instead of working in an honest way with the customers. 9. In summary, due to the type of business practices and general incompetence of this dealership personnel, at least in the Used Car Department, I paid full retail price for a car that is damaged, poorly repaired and worth thousands less than what I paid for it. Thank you, Mr. Scott Tell. 10. If you are reading this review, thinking about buying a new or used car from Leif Johnson Ford, don't walk but run away. Find another dealer. These people are not just shady but they have no idea how to conduct business in modern times. More

Odometer turned 303,303 miles as I drove onto the car lot! Old Hank had a few signs of wear but looked and ran like a new one! The tear drops of leaving Hank behind after twenty three years dried up real fast as I drove away in my new Space White F150 Fx4! Awesome new pickup! More

Shane was great! Helpful, patient, and you can tell he was there for your needs and not his own agenda. I’d work with Shane again as well as Jessie in Finance. Jessie explained everything talked out my concerns with me and as a young first time buyer it’s not something you see. Otherwise, I test drove and walked the lot but most of what I looked at had dents or scratches and one I test drove even had questionable axles, tires, etc. I think better care of the vehicles or looking them over before allowing a test drive would be beneficial. You never know if the car you’re test driving will fail and not only from a selling point, but safety as well. More

Shane was super down to earth and professional! I felt like he, Carlos Barrera and the Leif Johnson Ford finance team did what they could to help me drive off in my beautiful Mercedes!
