During our experience there was an issue that caught them by surprise, but the team made sure our first camping trip was one that provided many found memories going as far as letting us use one of their trucks to tow our new camper to its first outing with us. Had it not been for the fact that it took 5 days to get our trade in evaluated/inspected instead of the 4 hours they said it would take, which left us uncertain as to whether the deal we made was going to our trade in evaluated/inspected instead of the 4 hours they said it would take, which left us uncertain as to whether the deal we made was going to hold or not, we would have given the dealership a "great rating." We feel that the lack of communication during those five days was stressful and took some of the excitement out of buying a new RV. Ricky did an outstanding job going over our new travel trailer with us - he was awesome. Jamie was very thorough and patient in explaining all the paperwork to us. All in all it was a good experience. More

I was just killing some time and stopped at Dodd R.V. I spoke with Greg because our normal sales person Scott was in Richmond. Greg showed the Crusader and it matched our requirements perfectly. Greg knew the answers to all of my questions from weight to the new features like auto leveling, tank drain handles, and new axles. Scott came in the next day and just about finished the deal. We needed the camper in five days and he made it happen. No high pressure salesmanship, just straight talk. Mary and Pete were very knowledgeable and got us on our way. We are always made to feel like part of the Dodd family when dealing with Scott. We feel like the only customer he is dealing with because of his extremely prompt return of our calls and how quickly he makes things happen. Everyone at Dodd is friendly and customer oriented. We liked Dodd RV very much. They are very thorough with regard to sharing a packet of info on what maintenance you should perform on your RV to keep it in tip top shape...everyone we dealt with was very ni regard to sharing a packet of info on what maintenance you should perform on your RV to keep it in tip top shape...everyone we dealt with was very nice. When we arrived to complete the purchase of our RV it was found that the end cap of the unit (brand new) had faded badly and the motor in the awning was bad...plus a couple of other minor punch list issues. While disappointing to say the least, we have been assured that all of this will be fixed as soon as possible and we've had no indication other than their willingness to have everything taken care of as quickly as they can. Some things, such as ordered parts, outside vendor doing the paint work, etc. are beyond their control with regard to timeliness. I would like to update this rating once everything has been completed. All in all, it is our belief that Dodd goes to great lengths to insure customer satisfaction and to foster great relationships with them...there is an annual Dodd RV Rally at a local campground, they do monthly in-service training seminars that are free to attend. So, we while disappointed that our RV wasn't perfection at pick-up, we aren't concerned that it won't eventually be made right. More

The Dodd staff was kind, knowledgeable, and open about the pros and cons of the different used RV's we looked at. When we chose one they negotiated the price to work for us. I also was able to work with part of the service team for my walk through of the RV and I will ay they were very friendly and informative on the operation of the RV. Once a gain being a first time buyer it was helpful to have a knowledgeable crew! They were all very friendly and I would recommend if you are going to buy an RV Go to Dodd! We had been looking to trade in our Jayco and purchase a new travel trailer. We went to 2 other dealerships (one in VA and one in MD), and had been getting the run around with the cost of the trailers and new travel trailer. We went to 2 other dealerships (one in VA and one in MD), and had been getting the run around with the cost of the trailers and added fees, not originally advertised. The customer service was severely lacking from the super centers we had gone. That is what led us to Dodd’s RV. Online, we saw the 2013 Tracer 3150BHD and finally found what we were looking to purchase. We contacted Scott and from the start, he was very professional and polite. Every question I had emailed he answered promptly. Since we were over 3 hours away, just dropping by to look wasn’t an option for us. Scott helped us in getting the numbers and finance approved before we arrived. After having a hectic morning getting to the dealership to trade in our Jayco, we were greeted with a welcome sign, which took us by pleasant surprise. We were greeted by Scott and Mike, and were ready to make this deal happen. So we proceeded to transition our items out of the Jayco and wait for our new one. It was still in the process of being detailed, which was okay. We walked around the dealership, having to wait because a customer was ahead of us, even though we had an appointment, and was running a little late, we accepted that and understood. So we proceeded to do the walk thru and look over the new camper, had very friendly staff, Ricky and Mary, working with our questions about the new camper. So after hour 3 of being at the dealership, we started becoming concerned about getting our deal finalized with the finance manager and being able to come away with the new trailer. As I expressed to the sales manager the situation with having to wait, and was under the impression that all we really needed to do was do a walk thru and sign papers, we would be good to go. They explained they were short staffed and he immediately proceeded with our purchase and got us in with the general manager. After some miscommunications with the paperwork (normal with any dealership these days), we were able to finalize the deal and come away with our new camper. The overall experience with Dodd’s RV was good. I would definitely recommend them instead of the supercenters down the road. The staff was polite and friendly (extra thanks to Mary-oi~!) and even though we had delays in the purchasing, they were able to work everything out and we left there satisfied with Dodd's RV. More

We have purchased two Grey Wolf travel trailers from DODD at the Yorktown VA location and the staff at this facility are great. The staff are always very helpful and courteous. We have found the training s at the Yorktown VA location and the staff at this facility are great. The staff are always very helpful and courteous. We have found the training seminars on Saturday the best and there is always something new to learn every time we attend them. Discounts and raffle drawings also complete the experience of attending a seminar. We tell other campers about DODD and advise them if they need service or supplies to check out Dodd's parts department too. More
