Great GM Scott Barry is the GM of this dealership and deserves to be recognized for the above and beyond clean up on aisle 5 with regard to a used car sale wit Scott Barry is the GM of this dealership and deserves to be recognized for the above and beyond clean up on aisle 5 with regard to a used car sale with me last March. The car purchased had been a older unit, gone through extensively & was a well presented 1 owner sedan, but like some old cars, even out of the gate they have problems. 1st day on the hour ride home, the power steering failed, had it towed to a fellow Lomg dealership closer to me, where by Scott oversaw the process of making the car safe for inspection & one more subsequent visit as well during the first month of ownership. More GM's should take head on how professionally handling a situation can make the experience a good one even when things may not be perfect regarding the sale. Speaking of that, I can be polite and suggest, you all pick another sales person rather than Scott Brill unless you enjoy selling a car to yourself with bare minimum discussion or interaction mixed with a demeanor that is about as enthusiastic as watching paint dry in a empty room. Sorry to be so blunt, but honest reviews are good, and flavorless interactions with customers go a long long way in forming opinions of how they feel treated in the process. I'd go into details about the nuances, the little annoying slights he projects upon buyers with inflected tone, but feel the sufficient notice here mentioned is enough. Ray was super friendly on the pick up day running through the paperwork, easy and nice to deal with. It's a great dealership, with a great GM. I'd buy another car from them in a moment. More

Huge help getting my first car! I came to long subaru and worked with Scott to get my first car. He was a huge help, walking me through a lot of things that I hadn't done before, and giving really good and earnest advice on how to proceed. Being a college student purchasing his first car, I was in dire need of assistance, and definitely had a few restraints as far as budget and lifestyle. I really appreciated that Scott was frank and open about everything. He didn't try to sell me on something I couldn't afford, and steered me in the right direction as far as what I actually needed. I ended up leasing a 2016 crosstrek, and couldn't be happier wits my experience. He was right, it's a great car that works perfectly with my city and outdoors lifestyles. The rest of the dealership was excellent as well, everything went quickly and smoothly, I always got all of my information up front, and everyone there was always friendly. I would definitely recommend this dealership, Scott especially, to any of my friends! More

I was skeptical that he would follow through with the quote. I drove 70 miles and Long Subaru did not disappoint. They did not have the car on the lot, but located and provided the car at the price we agreed upon. Based on this experience, I would recommend Scott and Long Subaru without reservation. More

If breathing didn't come natural..... If breathing didn't come natural I think most of the salesman in the dealership would croak. Not very enthused to help or try and sell you a car. Salesman Scott Brill was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and patient. He was very low key with no high pressure sales. I received a fair price for my trade, inline with edmunds.com trade in value. The new Outbacks are loaded with all the latest technology which was all new to me. Scott explained how everything worked and even paired my cell phone to the car's bluetooth. Overall it was a very positive experience. Thank you Scott and Long's Subaru! More

Contract Violation…Auto Theft Initially went to this dealer to find a Jeep but after speaking with one of the sales reps, decided to go in another direction. He notified me of a u Initially went to this dealer to find a Jeep but after speaking with one of the sales reps, decided to go in another direction. He notified me of a used Impreza that had recently arrived on the lot and I loved it right away. Do a lot of driving for work and needed something that had great mileage. This car was in great condition and only about 50k miles. After test driving it, sat down with the salesman and he worked up some numbers using my Honda Element as a trade-in. He came up with the financing and gave me a really great number for my monthly payment. I agreed to it and we signed the contract that day. I picked up the vehicle the next day and turned in my old car. Everything was great until about 3 weeks later when I received a phone call from them asking me to come in due to a "problem". Upon arriving, I was told that they had made a mistake with the numbers and had inadvertently misplaced a decimal point so they needed the car returned to them. Their Finance person continued to go back and forth to the General Manager who couldn't even be bothered to come out and speak to me himself. I attempted work with them to come to another agreement, but I now realize they just wanted me out of there because they knew the scope of their error. After lying to me and telling me that if I did not hand over the car I'd be making two car payments, they printed up another set of paperwork for me to sign to reverse everything. Unfortunately I was so completely in shock and taken off guard that I signed the papers and left in my old vehicle. On top of that, they had stripped my old car of the expensive windshield wipers I had recently put on and the car was not running well because it had been sitting on the lot for so long! Obviously, after thinking about it wished I had never gone back. The mistake was made by them and should have been absorbed by them…period. This dealership is being run by a pack of morons who have zero business sense and no ability to deal with people in a rational, sensible manner. Their contracts are clearly meaningless unless they decide otherwise. I can only hope that their pathetic business falls into a giant sinkhole with all of them in it. More
