My crappy credit I requested a quote/information over Edmunds. The next day Ms. Phyllis called to give me additional information and follow up on what I was looking fo I requested a quote/information over Edmunds. The next day Ms. Phyllis called to give me additional information and follow up on what I was looking for. I wasn't able to answer but eventually I called back. Ms. Phyllis was giving me a great customer service. She answered my questions and wasn't pushing me to visit the dealer and make a purchase. The call was for information on a Kia Optima 2015 but as a current Kia Sorento 2014 owner when we spoke about the SUV I wanted to have more information (my Sorento was bought in Puerto Rico from where I moved a couple months back). She hung the call to get more information and when she called back it was a completely different story. The first thing she wanted was my information to do a credit check, to which I declined because I don't like my credit checked until I am sure I'll make a deal. She treated if I was an alien of the United Stated and my credit was not going to be valid in the US. Her willingness to give me information was gone and while I was trying to explain why I didn't liked my credit checked the conversation got kind of tense, I tried to change the topic and asked if she was going to be able to give me more information without having my credit checked or not, she told me the price of the vehicle and when I wanted to review the lease details she told me she didn't think I was going to be able to lease the car and she recommend me to buy the car "because someone with crappy credit could buy the car". When I wanted to hang up while been respectful then she told she didn't think we matched since the beginning of the call. Honestly, I don't expect everyone to know Puerto Rico, it is a very small island but don't treat me like a alien, PR is a territory of the US and we don't require a visa to travel in or out. Halleen Kia just lost a sale because of this "crappy" customer service. More

No help at all I contacted Halleen kia with the intent of purchasing a new vehicle. I submitted an application on their web site and received a prompt response. But I contacted Halleen kia with the intent of purchasing a new vehicle. I submitted an application on their web site and received a prompt response. But after the initial reply from Phyllis and a call from Laura I replied back that I would like to exchange as much info as I could through email as I am very busy with work and have accomplished many business transactions using this method. Since then I have heard nothing. No reply emails, no phone calls, no smoke signals, not a word. I have worked sales and customer service for a long time and I am a retail manager. This is Not how you handle customer service. You reply to customer comments and requests in a timely manner and try to assist every person the best you can. If you can't help or have no options available you tell them in stead of just completely ignoring the situation. I do not and will not ever recommend anyone do business with Halleen Kia. More

Did I tell you that I love this place ? I LOVE THIS PLACE !! After spending days on the computer researching different dealerships, and going so far as doing "man on the street" interviews about the car I was c After spending days on the computer researching different dealerships, and going so far as doing "man on the street" interviews about the car I was considering, ( I'm surprised I wasn't arrested as the "Kia owner stalker"), I finally decided I was going to hunt down a Kia Soul at Halleen Kia. Just a few days prior to going I found some friends who highly recommended Halleen also, and suggested that I talk to Richard. What an experience ! I'm on a fixed income, and told Richard right at the start, "if you can't work what I can afford, let me know now". I could ramble on and on, but I'll come to the point. Richard put me into a "new to me" Kia that I can afford, and that far exceeds my expectations in looks and performance. The entire staff is helpful and friendly, and the dealership goes above and beyond in their efforts to please. Steve made signing the final papers effortless. Be prepared to go home with a car, a wealth of knowledge and a new comfort level with car dealerships if you go there.Richard says what he means and means what he says. He made a believer out of me. Did I mention I love this place ? More
