Dishonest on trade in values They had a F150 we were very interested in. We called and had them set aside as it is a 2 hour drive one way for us. We went there, they looked over my trade in, a Mercury Mountaineer, even complimenting it. When it came time to deal, they only offered $2000 for it. I told them this is unacceptable considering other dealers we have been to have offered $6700-$7000. The salesman snidely said "well you must not have KBB'ed it" I then told him, yes we did, but for your entertainment, go ahead, and he went through the process. Right in front of him, and us, came up the trade in value of the vehicle at $7100 being the average for the vehicle in good condition, as mine is. The salesman didn't know what to say because the Proof was right there! However, with that proof, they still wouldn't budge on the value of the trade in, thus costing them to lose a sale. We stopped at other dealers (some GM, some Ford, and one Chevy) on the way home, and had them appraise the trade in, and all were around that $6700-$7100. In fact Sunset Ford became the laughing stock of other dealerships, once we told them about the situation. I e-mailed our sales rep at Sunset and informed him that on cargurus.com, similar vehicles to the Mountaineer, with more miles were being sold at other dealers for $10-$12k, so I was certainly being fair asking for $6700-$7100. I have left a number of messages for the GM of Sunset Ford, but have yet to talk to him. Today the sales person we talked to at Sunset Ford, called on behalf of the GM, because the GM was having "family issues". I told him appreciated him calling, but I still want to talk to a manager. The sales person said they were able to get me another $1000 on the Mountaineer bringing it to $3000. I told him they were dishonest and wanting to steal my trade in. I told him that I still want to talk to a GM from there, or some type of manager. A result of their dishonesty cost them our business, as well as any others we tell about them. More

We have multiple Fords from Sunset easy to deal with; tried other Ford dealerships and get the run around back and forth and no respect. I actually would refer anyone to this location due to the outstanding professional care that was given to me. Mike an Chris both knew my situation and the importance of getting the vehicle that I WANTED not what someone else thought I should have. These 2 individuals as well as Sunset Ford as a whole are the GREATEST people to work with on getting what it is that you want and keeping you happy is what they strive to do. Not once did I ever feel that someone was trying to sell me something that I didn't want. I can tell you that I have experienced in the past with other dealers they are in it for themselves, but Sunset Ford St. Louis they are all about you!!!! This was my 2nd time purchasing from Sunset Ford St. Louis and it was just as easy and pleasant the first time as it was for me this 2nd time. The one thing I can say most of all I came in to Sunset Ford in such despair over loosing our first vehicle that we purchased from them in 2009 due to an auto accident, which was the very first Ford F-150 Raptor 2010 to them telling me all will be ok and we will make sure that you are taken care of.. So I went in very distraught but left EXTREAMLY HAPPY!!! Thank you again Sunset Ford and a HUGE Thank you to Chris & Mike for taking such good care of me. Wow - what a great experience at Sunset Ford. We wanted to look at the Escape. We gave Mike the options we were looking for...he pulled the Escape that met our requirements up to the door, gave us the key to look at the Escape. We gave Mike the options we were looking for...he pulled the Escape that met our requirements up to the door, gave us the key and let us take it for a drive. When we returned, he answered our questions and had pricing information ready to go. About a hour later - we drove our new Escape off the lot! More

This was great all around. We went to look but the deal was so good, the service superior, and the vechile just right we had to make the deal. We would recommend the dealer to any one.
