Different (BETTER) than most other dealerships. I have been leasing cars for many years. My last 3 Kia Sorentos were leased from a different dealership. I decided to visit Kia of Huntington first I have been leasing cars for many years. My last 3 Kia Sorentos were leased from a different dealership. I decided to visit Kia of Huntington first. Suffice it to say I never even bothered to go back to my previous dealership, or to check out other dealers. Usually I'm a comparison shopper, so I did my homework, searched the internet, reviewed my bargaining tools, etc. Salesman David Pigate was helpful, knowledgeable and courteous, and not pushy . Sales Manager Brian Tighe was also from a different mold. He didn't come in with a high price and bargain it down. He quoted me a number he knew I would like and we made a deal right away. David and Brian then went above and beyond to get me the color and interior I wanted from a distant dealership. (Other dealers often push you to take a car on their lot in order to get a better price.) Needless to say, Kia of Huntington has made a customer out of me. More

Great place to find your next car I purchased a 2019 Kia Forte S from KIA of Huntington the other day. Best decision I ever made to go there. From the moment I walked in the door till I purchased a 2019 Kia Forte S from KIA of Huntington the other day. Best decision I ever made to go there. From the moment I walked in the door till I drove out of the parking lot with my brand new car I was treated very professionally. My salesman Mike was extremely knowledgeable on the car and went over all the features with me in depth before I left. One special employee even bought me lunch while I was waiting. Overall they were able to put me in a car that is 3 years newer then what I had at $70 less than what I was previously paying. I can’t thank you guys enough. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new car at great prices with great service to visit KIA of Huntington. More

Much better than average car leasing experience. I have leased cars for many years. As a woman, I have had many distasteful experiences with pushy or condescending salesman and sales managers, often I have leased cars for many years. As a woman, I have had many distasteful experiences with pushy or condescending salesman and sales managers, often using high pressure tactics. Not the case with Kia of Huntington. Salesman Michael Kochman knowledgeable, courteous and respectful. Ditto for Manager Brian Tighe. There was no xx, no double talk ,no pressure to sign a contract to get the best price. What's more, they went above and beyond to get the car color of my choice at a New Jersey dealership and deliver it according to my timetable. I also believe I got an excellent lease deal. Yes I highly recommend this dealership and the people who work there. More

Very positive experience from start to finish!! It is hard to believe it has already been 30 days since my car buying experience began with Huntington Kia. After buying used cars privately my whole It is hard to believe it has already been 30 days since my car buying experience began with Huntington Kia. After buying used cars privately my whole driving life I decided it was time to look for something with a warranty. After many years in a mini-van I thought I was ready for a suv since my kids were getting older. After selling my van privately I was ready to start looking. For one week straight my husband and daughter and I traveled to several dealerships all over the island. Some were much worse then others. I was looking to purchase a certified preowned vehicle. I left many of the dealerships overwhelmed, stressed out and defeated. The sales people were high pressure and for the most part not very knowledgeable about their cars which was surprising to us. Some of the dealers were so high pressure we found ourselves making excuses on why we had to leave. After a week of nonstop harassing calls from dealers we narrowed the search down to the Kia Sorrento and Toyota Highlander both nice suvs but Sorrento had more options I was interested in. After adding my son to the search to my dismay I realized the suvs were to small to transport my kids and their friends or other family. At that point I started my search back to the mini-van. I was shown the Kia Sedona at Smithtown Kia and I thought maybe that would be a possibility for me. I did not like the Honda Oddessy, Toyota Sienna was blah to me. Kia Smithtown did not have any preowned for me to look at. Generation Kia in Bohemia was my least favorite experience of all the dealerships I went to. The salesperson dealing with us got up and walked away to help someone else when she realized we weren't likely to buy from them and the manager was not nice and we actually got up and left. Never thinking I would find a van or something I would be happy enough to justify spending a lot money on and having a payment I wanted to give up my search. My husband said when you find you van you will know it. Sorry for all the background but I think it was important to understand what happened next for me. So on a Saturday morning I was googling Sedonas and other mini vans and a 2015 Kia Sedona sxl came up at Huntington kia. It was to new to have any pictures but the description really caught my attention because it had a lot of the features I liked in other cars I saw the previous week all in one ad. My dad was over for another reason that morning and I showed him the ad and asked if he would drive in with me and the kids since my husband was at work. He said he would and my dad, 2 kids and I drove into Huntington. From the second we pulled up the dealership looked very nice. It's easy to find with all of the flags outside on the street. We pulled up and the van was in the parking lot. I immediately started to get excited because for a mini-van it was very sporty looking. There was a very nice salesman outside that greeted us right away asking us what he could do to help. My husband had called already in the morning to make sure the van was still available and made an appointment with Michael or else this man would have been happy to help us. He took us into the showroom which was immaculate and gorgeous. The other salesmen at the desk greeted us with a smile. It was a very different vibe from the other dealerships we looked at from the start. Michael showed us the van and my kids, dad and I were very impressed with it from the moment we got in. The sxl is such a gorgeous van it could practically sell itself with its lounge captains seating, third row, dual sunroofs, added navagation package and birds eye view, ect. I could go on and on but thats for a different review. Anyway we test drove the car and for the first time I felt this is the van for me. The only thing missing for me was the dvd player. There was some mix-up in the ad. Traveling alot a dvd player is a must have for me. When we went inside I began to get that pit in my stomach feeling after a lot of negative experiences with the other dealers. We sat down and was told that there wasn't room in their Internet price it is priced to sell and the Internet price is what it is. In researching the van on the way there the price did seem right but the no dvd and the tires needing to be changed soon and a few other things made me unsure of the buy. This is where Josh came in. He introduced himself as one of the managers he said this kia dealership was one month old and they pride themselves on customer service. I told him my concerns about no dvd and the ad he understood where i was coming from and something that could have been a problem wasn't at all. Kia of Huntington was very honorable and truly did the right thing in addressing my concerns which is one of the reason I would consider them top notch and sets them apart from other dealers. Josh said whether we brought the van or not he wanted us to feel like we were treated with respect and didn't feel pressured. He wanted us to know that they take pride in their work and want to build a reputation of honesty and excellent customer service. I was very impressed because he was sincere and genuine if he could work with us to make us happy he was willing to. After discussing things back and forth we came to an agreement which included having my dvd player installed and the tires replaced. After this we took the van for a test drive again. We went back still nervous that I was going to be buying a car with a payment we looked at a 2017 kia Sedona lx which was less money. There was no comparison to the Kia Sedona sxl and I knew then that the 2015 sxl even though it was more money was the van for me. By this time my kids had it they were hungry and had enough of watching the TV in the lobby which was a lifesaver for me to have them sit there in watch while we were discussing everything. Bryan another wonderful salesman brought them over by us which was very kind of him. Everyone was extremely patient with us and understanding that this was a major decision. My dad had to get home and my kids had had it. My husband wanted to see the van and Josh said no worries if we wanted to come back he would hold the van for the day. My husband came back loved the van was on board with me buying it and we went back in to sign the paperwork. My husband asked about the extended warranty which they gave us 2 options on. It seemed like a good idea so we got it. Kias warranty is excellent as it is but I felt more secure with this. I wanted to go through tfcu but since the dealership was so new they only were up with Bethpage federal credit union. The rate seemed comparable to what I saw at teachers so I was happy. They told me the car would be ready in a week with having to prep it, precertify it, have the dvd installed and put the new tires on. We left kia and realized that night that I forgot to ask if there was a second key fab. This seems minor but being that I lost a key previously this was something very important to me. My husband called Michael and he said he would check. Then Ron another manager and wonderful man called back and said that the van only had one but that they would order us another one and he was very understanding of my concern. Throughout the week I was in touch with Michael about the progress of my van. They took care of the insurance with my broker and everything with dmv. We met with Cathy who handled all of our closing paperwork. We were there for several hours. I think there were a lot of pick ups that night. Again everyone there was very nice. My daughter got 10 things from the vending machine but it all worked out and we pulled away with my van. The day we bought the car there was a nick on the door which they had a tech from colorworks (I think that's the name) fill in. They said I would have to let it cure and come back in 2 weeks so he could buff it out. I was OK with that. I had some issues with the van over the first weekend. My initial thought was should I have bought this van and all those types of things that go through your mind. Monday morning I went right into service at 7am without an appointment and this is where my wonderful experience began with Mike the service manager. I told him 4 concerns I had with the van over the weekend he assured me everything would be fine. Joe one of the mechanics came out and he addressed each concern with me. They turned out to be all very minor fixes that they would not have known about until I drove the vehicle for a distance. They fixed everything within 45 minutes including a recall that just began that day. My dad and I waited in the lobby Mike the service manager came out sat with us talked with us. By then Josh had come in and greeted us. What could have been a negative experience was great. My car was done and we left. Two weeks later I called Ron about coming in with my door. He wasn't in so I spoke with Bryan. He said the color tech recommended I wait 30 days with the humidity and he assured me it was in their computer and they would fix it. I said no problem. As the 30 days approached Bryan called me told me it was a good week to bring the car in with low humidity. He gave me two options of leaving the car all day or overnight. Coming from out east I asked him if they could provide me with a loaner. He put a kia Niro on hold (which turned out to be a beautiful hybrid car for anyone interested in buying one). I had asked him if he could ask the color tech if there were anything he could do with some scratches on my front quarter panel. The next morning I brought the car in we showed Mike the service manager areas we wanted looked at on the body he wrote them all down. Mike called me at 2 said the car was ready. I got back at 5 and I was very pleased with what a great job they did on the van. They went above and beyond and there were only a few scratches on the drivers slider that they weren't able to fix. The van looked really good though and I was extremely pleased!! So that brings me to the end of my 30 day journey with Kia of Huntington. In conclusion I want to thank everyone for their kindness, consideration, patience, understanding, business ethic, honesty and overall amazing experience from a first time precertified car buyer with a dealership. SPECIAL THANKS TO JOSH, RON, MICHAEL, BRYAN, SERVICE MANAGER MIKE, TIRE MANAGER JOHN, THE AMAZING COLOR TECH, JOE THE MECHANIC, CATHY, JOENICA in service (sorry if spelled name wrong) and everyone else that has greeted us with a smile and treated us with respect and consideration. Even though I live about 30 miles away from the Huntington Kia I will be making the drive in to have my van regularly serviced. I trust them, they care about the customer and I feel like they treat you like a friend and not just another sale. Thank-you Huntington Kia after reading all the other wonderful reviews I am glad to see that your business and reputation is remarkable and all your hard work and customer service truly shows!!! Although this review took over a hour to write it was time well spent to spread the word on such a great dealership!!! More
