Dear Jackie, Thank you for your review. When the issue with the panels was first brought to our attention, we did indeed tell you and your husband that a number of these had the same issue. However, we did agree to do our best to find a solution. The following then took place: - We valeted your car from Bradenton back to the dealership in St. Peterburg, providing you with a Jaguar loaner vehicle. - We ordered new panels from the factory. The new panels arrived and were put on your car and it was valeted back to you in Bradenton. - Your husband did not like the new panels. We then valeted your car back to the dealership again. - Our Service Manager worked with Jaguar corporate to find the best set possible. Jaguar corporate hand-picked the best set of panels they could find and sent them to us at the dealership. When they arrived we felt that the ones on the car were in fact better. - We then employed our best detailer to work on the panels. He got the scratches out and made them, to our belief, perfect. This was verified by the sales associate, the service manager, the technician, and the detailer. - We then valeted your car back to you in Bradenton. When the car got to your home your husband put the car in the garage and took out a flashlight. He examined the panels with a flashlight and still felt they were bad. Both the team at the dealership and the team at Jaguar corporate has done everything in its power to rectify this situation and we feel that the panels are of appropriate quality. Michael.please explain what you mean by “appropriate quality” is that Jaguar quality or something else?. Your sarcastic tone is not what we would expect from a General Manager. This 3rd time of trying to fix the problem, and before the panels were fitted to the vehicle, your service manager did not want to commit when we asked her “are they defect free” she said “we’d rather you take a look at them and decide” Not a lot of confidence in the condition of them. So the “flashlight” was used to get a good photo to send to you to show how extensively the panels are scratched as your dealership told us that day that several people had examined them and that they were “perfect”. We do not “think” they are bad, they are bad, they are full of scratches, clearly visible and not defect free. You are not understanding the problem. A detailer cannot get the scratches out because they are sub surface so we suggest you better understand the problem. Jaguar Corporate know there is a problem and have told us they are actively trying to find panels without scratches. As the dealer you should be accepting this and not telling us all is OK when it isn’t. Side by side with our neighbors F-Pace the scratches are very visible. It’s all good when we purchased the vehicle with promises to handle any concerns etc etc etc. In reality that’s not been the case and now you’re telling us you think we should just accept that we’ve got a vehicle with obvious bodywork scratches. We paid for a vehicle without defects, that’s not what you delivered to us and now you have no interest in fixing this problem or having a customer who is happy with the purchase. Your comment about “appropriate quality” says it all about your commitment to a customer, especially from a Luxury Vehicle Dealer
