Wonderful dealership, great sales team! Have been considering a Subaru Forester for some time and finally got down to business last week. We had visited another Subaru dealer closer to home, Have been considering a Subaru Forester for some time and finally got down to business last week. We had visited another Subaru dealer closer to home, but our salesperson was absent at the time we visited, and the person who helped us there for a test drive, while very pleasant, did not demonstrate the features of the car. So we headed to the next closest, Gateway Subaru, just north of Salisbury MD, in DelMar. On arrival it was refreshing to be able to browse the selection without being descended upon by a phalanx of hungry salespeople! Once we had determined that there was a vehicle we liked, we went into the sales room, where we were welcomed by Kevin Miller. kEvin got some keys and we did a short test drive around the parking lot. (Having already had a road test at ten first dealership) Kevin was friendly, personable, and professional and very capably demonstrated the features of the car we had chosen. His scope of knowledge of the equipment, options, and warranty was encyclopedic! I was trying to play it cool, but my husband had some random outburst during the test drive....."I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!". Having laid our cards on the table in this fashion we decided to go inside with Kevin and work on price, which was accomplished quickly and painlessly, and was drama free, for a blessed change! We elected to take delivery a day or so later, and everything was in order when we arrived. I cannot overstate the friendliness of everyone we were introduced to and the overall relaxed feel inside the dealership. The showroom is very pleasant, and it's probably the most attractive car dealership I've ever been in. I have to confess I knew it was a nice place, having purchase a Saturn here many years ago. It has a nice kind of "Starbucks" feel to it. I have to mention one more time how the entire staff at Gateway is so welcoming and friendly. We met Steve Wergin, Wendy Shiavine, Renee, Brian, Kris.....everyone treated us like family. Kevin was outstanding as he shepherded us through the delivery and financing phases, and went over the car with a fine toothed comb. I had emailed Kevin at 6AM on delivery day to see if it was possible to have a hitch put on the car as a surprise for my husband, and he took care of it right away so it was there when we went out to see it. I really appreciated the extra effort he went through for that. All in all, we have probably purchase 10 new vehicles in our married life, and I've got to say this was the nicest sales experience we have ever had. Kudos to you, Gateway Subaru! More

Best buying experience I have ever had! I arrived at Gateway Subaru with the intention of purchasing a used vehicle. I was not 100% decided and asked the sales person Kevin Miller to show me I arrived at Gateway Subaru with the intention of purchasing a used vehicle. I was not 100% decided and asked the sales person Kevin Miller to show me a few other models to ensure I felt I was choosing the best vehicle for my needs. Kevin quickly obtained keys and tags and said lets test drive it. It was so not the typical dealer experience! My spouse then had us shift direction and look at a new 2016 Forester. Kevin maintained such a positive attitude and was consistently willing to do what ever he could to arrive at a deal we felt comfortable with. I received a strong offer for my trade in off the bat and negotiating the new vehicle price was reasonable and to the point. Upon deciding to purchase we worked with Steve on the financing. Steve stated he was new to this aspect of car sales but handled the paper work well and reviewed every number to ensure we were comfortable signing for our beautiful new Forester! This is my first Subaru and I will definitely go back to Gateway Subaru for my next car be it used or new! Thank You! More

Very positive experience! Kevin Miller was great! He literally spent hours with me, educating me about the Subaru product, test driving several models, and getting to know wha Kevin Miller was great! He literally spent hours with me, educating me about the Subaru product, test driving several models, and getting to know what I wanted and needed. I originally went to the dealership to purchase a replacement sedan. I ended up buying a Subaru Forrester, which I LOVE! I can't thank everyone who worked with me from sales, to finance. Even Wendy from management sat and talked with me while the finance department worked to get me the payment I was looking for. I trust the folks here and will definitely do business with them again! More

Best dealership experience I've had! I went to Gateway Subaru to find a vehicle for my wife but decided to get a 2016 Forester for myself as well. We both worked with Kevin Miller who was extremely helpful and patient throughout the sales cycle. It took over two months for us to finally decide which vehicles we wanted and there was never a moment where my wife and I felt pressured to make a decision or go with a vehicle that was immediately available. Kevin, with the help of the other support staff at Gateway, took the time to track down the particular Forester XT I wanted without any hassle. So my wife and I both received the cars we wanted with our preferred color and options. We are very happy!! Also finalizing the paperwork was a breeze. I laughed with Wendy and Renee through most of the process as the paperwork can normally be a real pain but they made it fun. I also want to give a special thanks to Kyle Hutchins for making that test drive a reality; appreciate it! More

Amazing!! I had been wanting to trade in my SUV for some time now, however my husband had a few requirements in order for me to even think about. Most importan I had been wanting to trade in my SUV for some time now, however my husband had a few requirements in order for me to even think about. Most important to him was the safety of the vehicle, then the price point and finally the ease of doing business with the dealership. We hadn't considered a Subaru during our initial talks about a new car. I had never even looked into them online. However on a trip to Vermont in the fall, we found that Subaru is "THE" car of that area. It seemed as though everyone drove one, and considering the very long and snowy winter they had we were a little surprised to say the least. After our trip north, we actually starting investigating the Subaru and the different models they offer. We were pleasantly surprised with the price point being as reasonable as it was, also the safety rating really was what sold it for us in terms of taking the next step. Luckily for us Gateway Subaru is nearby, and we casually stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to take a look at the Crosstrek. This model for me had all the components I was looking for, as well as a price point that we were comfortable with. Kevin Miller met with us that afternoon, we told him we were just beginning to look into a new car and that we weren't actually looking to move forward until the new year. PS this was October when we first stopped in. Kevin showed us all the great things about the 2015 Crosstrek, but also informed us of the newer technology that would be coming with the 2016 version. He was very patient answering my questions and took down all of our information so that when he had a new model on the lot, we could come by and take a look at it. Over the two month time frame we had initially come by, Kevin was great about keeping us in the loop with the new inventory available. We stopped by to see the new model, he answered more questions for us, and really helped us with our process. Finally a week before Christmas we had decided we were ready to make the leap and get into the new car. Kevin and the entire staff at Gateway went above and beyond to help us make our choice, get the paperwork started and find the car I had been dreaming of. They all worked diligently to find my very particular "wants" in my new Crosstrek and we got to bring it home yesterday!! I can't recommend the Gateway Subaru staff enough. Everything from start to finish was amazing. I'm a very happy member of the Subaru family. More

not good went to see a used car with a price tag of a new subaru that had a quality 126 point inspection to my surprise no oil on dipstick and no antifreze lev went to see a used car with a price tag of a new subaru that had a quality 126 point inspection to my surprise no oil on dipstick and no antifreze level visible even after the salesman assured me that the car just had an oil change i guess the forgot to add new oil salesman didn t even offer to fix the problems at all not flexible at the price even for a car that had a few issues i guess i ll buy somewhere else More
