Over the course of 2 weeks, I called and emailed (~10 times) the General Manager (Rick Carpenter) and his assistant (Rosemary Shell). The receptionist had many excuses why I couldn’t speak to Rick: he’s out-of-the-office, at a work conference, he’s been out with a medical condition, he doesn’t have an email, and finally, that he wouldn’t speak about such matters by phone or video conference. I explained I lived 3 hours round-trip and couldn’t make the trip. They refused to talk by phone or video chat. Rosemary was semi-responsive at first, but as the 2 weeks went by, I couldn’t even get to Rosemary anymore. I was left negotiating over the phone with her assistant, while Rosemary rudely asked in the background, “What does Natalie want?” I never got a single communication from Rick. All parties refused to give absolutely any response to my complaint letter. These items were in my complaint letter, along with photos proving all the discrepancies. 1) From the start, the salesman (Jeremy Wachtler) created a pressurized and aggressive environment, with a false sense of urgency. 2) There was a "mandatory" $1,995 package added to the price of the vehicle (https://ibb.co/98jWWB3). Overall, 7 of the 12 items were some sort of spray/liquid. When questioning it, Jeremy aggressively insisted the $1,995 was listed on Auto Trader. It was not. He lied. 3) When reviewing the 3rd price sheet quote, I noticed they had increased the price of the vehicle. I asked for a copy of the 1st price sheet quote and was told "it's in the safe", and Jeremy refused to give me a copy. Luckily, I had taken a photo of the 1st price sheet quote and I showed it to Jeremy. I asked him to talk to the sales manager (Thad Szkudlarek) about the adjusted price being increased by $275. Jeremy came back and said if I don’t want the car, I can walk away. 4) The finance guy said he would cut the Extended Warranty by $1,350. But he only reduced it by $1,000. 5) I was given a flash drive from the financial guy and was told not to worry - all important papers were on there. I wasn't given a chance to review it at the dealer. It is missing Honda Certified information, and it has no meaningful information on the Extended Warranty. 6) On the dealer and Auto Trader websites, and all the official paperwork (including the new title), the mileage was falsely listed as 2,633 miles lower than the actual mileage. 7) There are a few small areas of rust on the hood of the vehicle and Jeremy said it was sold “As Is”. They didn’t previously fix the issue, even though the $27,000 car sat at their dealership for over a month. Jeremy said he would mail me a can of touch up paint, as their dealership was out of my color. A week later, I had not received the paint, so I texted a reminder. He said he’d get it out in the morning, however, 2+ weeks after buying my car, I haven’t received it. 8) Jeremy claimed my hometown Honda dealership (which I have used for 5 years) had horrible service, reviews, and no Certified Honda technicians. He lied. Those are all false. These are other negatives about the dealership: 9) The dealer fee of $999, though listed, is still at the top end of dealer fees. 10) There were also $383 in dealer fees ($199 + $184) in fine print. Collectively, these factors created a shady experience that was unethical, intentionally misleading, and the most stressful process that I've ever experienced at a car dealership. Do NOT buy from Honda of Ocala!!! They are the total opposite of a 5-star experience!!! More

Came here ready to buy (Qualified through a lender) and right from the start Jeremy(sales) was negative and lazy! Said our lender was a lie (a lender they deal with...they didn't want to run it through the system though) came back with unrealistic numbers with out once again not running anything and wouldn't. Then so called "Manager" Zack came out with his smart-xxx mouth and sealed the deal with us NOT buying a car from them! Along with the rude comment said loud in the showroom as we (me,wife and 8 year old son) walked out. Free warranty as stated on their website? What a joke. Watch for the hidden 5k mark up for warranty! Then degrade your trade in (A 3 year old vehical). Came back with a slap in the face offer. Said we where better off having a car towed in I will never in my life do business with them or recommend anyone to them. Before you head up there. Really read the reviews of this place. All the complaints are the same and they do nothing about it. More

Jeremy was very offensive, fed us a constant stream of xx, offered us 1/3 the trade in value of out car, and jacked up the price of the purchase vehicle with add ons. We walked out and had to demand the r xx, offered us 1/3 the trade in value of out car, and jacked up the price of the purchase vehicle with add ons. We walked out and had to demand the return of our keys, which he had commandeered, in order to leave. If you like dishonesty and intimidation tactics, Jeremy is your man! More
