I was a manager and then a director during 9 years in the rental car industry. I had always wanted to work in car sales and the restrictions placed on business in the last 18 months have made this a good time to go for it. My wife and daughter (and myself) love Virginia and did not want to sell our house so I searched for the local dealership with the best customer reviews and here I am now, an employee at Southern Team. I did training in February of 2021 and started in March. I have had so much fun and have more thoroughly enjoyed my job than I ever did in the rental car industry. I have met so many amazing people. I will make your experience easy going and stress free; we can go at your pace and find what vehicle truly works best for you or your family.

My salesman Jeff was amazing. However, my concerns began in the closing of the deal. I was unable to read vital paperwork because of some computer issue. I was sent this paper wor However, my concerns began in the closing of the deal. I was unable to read vital paperwork because of some computer issue. I was sent this paper work a week later and discovered errors. In order to try to resolve this, I had to make a 3 hour round trip up to the dealership. In addition, I was told that I would not get free oil changes for life since my car takes synthetic oil unless I purchased the maintenance plan, which I later found to be untrue. So, I paid cash for it unnecessarily. After finding out from the service department that this was not true, I let the finance department know I wanted to cancel the maintenance plan. Since that meeting, I never received return phone calls or text from the Finance Manager and it took the other finance person a week to get back with me. At this point, I still have not been able to have my maintenance plan fully cancelled and I'm approaching 30 days, so the next thing I may have to deal with is not getting my full refund back! I do understand computer glitches do happen, but if it had not I would have noticed errors on my paperwork and they would have been addressed prior to my purchase which was nearly a month ago. However, when technology fails, honest communication should not! More
