This was my second visit to Platinum and the 6th Volkswagon that i have purchased. This experience with Platinum was by far the best I have ever had with any dealership. Joe was (by far) the most Volkswagon that i have purchased. This experience with Platinum was by far the best I have ever had with any dealership. Joe was (by far) the most friendly and helpful dealer I have dealt with in my history. He was not pushy and treated me with the utmost respect. He was knowledgable and responsive and treated me like a "friend" of the dealership. Having been a customer for so long it was good to feel like a "friend" and not like a potential sale. I have been raving to all my friends and family that if they are in the market for a new car that Platinum is the place to go. As long as I am driving they will have a customer for life. More

My experience was similar to those of the other reviewers. Joe Riccobene and the other sales and serrvice people have been very professional. I was referred to this dealer through the Consumer Reports build-and-buy service. Another dealer farther away offered a price that was, taking into account the distance, roughly equal from my point of view, but Platinum seemed more professional, which is why I bought from them. Since their business costs on Long Island would have been higher than those of the other dealer, they were offering a price with what was probably a slightly lower profit margin for them. The only reason why I rated them a 4 on customer service is that when, after the sale, I asked a different sales person whether the VW automatic-door-lock system could be turned off by the service department, he said it would void the warranty, which is nonsensical (and not true). I went to directly the service department, which did it. More

I was most impressed with Platinum VW from the first moment I came in to the dealership. I was warmly greeted by the owner, Josh, who then referred me to the proper people who were most helpful and eff moment I came in to the dealership. I was warmly greeted by the owner, Josh, who then referred me to the proper people who were most helpful and efficient with no hassles or pressure. My salesman, Joe Riccobene, showed me various cars and advised what would be the best car for me. I decided on the VW Jetta. Financing was a breeze. Rob Sedrish, Finance Manager, put a lease package together that was best for me. I had done much comparison shopping and found Platinum VW to be the most efficient and friendly dealership to work with. I felt no pressure and I had my leased Jetta in less than a day. My old Pontiac Lease Turn-in was also handled by Platinum - so this was one stop shopping. I am most impressed with the dealer and the experience. I plan on continuing to be a part of the Platinum VW family from here on in. Thank you for the best lease experience I have ever had. More

I have purchased many vehicles over my lifetime. The majority of the time, the experience was like a visit to the dentist; much discomfort and had to pay for it too. This is why i have to write about m majority of the time, the experience was like a visit to the dentist; much discomfort and had to pay for it too. This is why i have to write about my most recent purchase and more specifically, regarding the sales rep i dealt with. Joe Riccobene treated us with respect and like we were actual customers, not like he was doing us a favor by assisting us! Being a female, it's been awful having car dealers (including service dept personnel) talk down to you. Because of this, i have always brought a male with me when car shopping - even though the vehicle was for my use and was completely up to my choosing. Joe made me feel like i didn't need to bring my husband along. He was honest and i believe very fair on both the vehicle sales price and trade in value. i would not hesistate to refer people to Joe Riccobene and Platinum Volkswagen. More

Sales experience was extremely professional. Joe was the consumate salesman, evaluating the reason for my vist, presenting the values and benefits of the vehicles and the brand, and working out a beneficial consumate salesman, evaluating the reason for my vist, presenting the values and benefits of the vehicles and the brand, and working out a beneficial deal. Everyone at VW Platnum was excellent. Loved the place loved the service love the car. I went to sunrise at first and the sales person was so arrogant and so unknowledgable about the car that I just walke loved the service love the car. Joe Riccobene was the most friendly, honest, and professional salesrep I have encountered. He immediately took us out for a test drive, and THOUROUGHLY explained every aspect of the viehicle, pro & professional salesrep I have encountered. When we were satisfied with all the facts, he "made us an offer we couldn't refuse" and we bought the car instead of leasing it for 3 years. Remember, we had no intention of BUYING when we walked into the dealership, only to lease. Granted, its hard to beat 0% financing over 2.99% lease, but it takes a skilled NON-PUSHY salesman to lay out the numbers tactfully, and make the customer feel smart with the decission they make. We previously bought several Jettas from another dealer, whom we visited first. We were told there was no TDI available to drive, and we could get one, only if we put down a deposit sight unseen. Sound unreasonable? We thought so. As for their service department, we don't know. We only own the viehicle for 1 month. Joe has assured us that we can contact him at any time regarding any problems which may arrise. Refreshing attitude. More
