Unethical Dealer We went to Heritage Honda Parkville to get the 2020 Honda Civic EX that we had discussed with Erin Roche over email. She provided the details over ema We went to Heritage Honda Parkville to get the 2020 Honda Civic EX that we had discussed with Erin Roche over email. She provided the details over email about the car and stated that "We are accepting ALL reasonable offers". I made an offer and she emailed back saying "That sounds reasonable! What time can you be here today?" She made the appointment for 7:00 PM as this place was about an hour away and I had work in the morning. The appointment she made was with Rob Jacobson. We get there around 7:10 PM and we are told Rob is busy. We wait about 30 minutes and finally Don helps us. He was the only good thing about this whole visit. He took us on test drive and went over all the car's features. After the test drive we come back to the dealership to sign the paperwork and he got the numbers from his manager, Doug, and this number was $4,000 over what Erin had agreed to. Don went back to talk to the Doug regarding what Erin had told us. At this point Doug comes out to speak to us. He acknowledges that they do have the Erin's email with what she agreed to, but they cannot honor it. In his words "Erin does not have the word NO in her dictionary. Her job is to say it's a reasonable offer and get the customer to come to the dealership." Doug then asks what if shows us a different car for the price you agreed to with Erin. I remind him that the price we discussed with Erin was for a 2020 Honda Civic EX. He just come back with "That's not going to happen. I am not going to honor the price you and Erin agreed to because it is not reasonable" I remind him that Erin said differently in her email and if it was not reasonable then why did she say otherwise? He again says "Erin does not have the word NO in her dictionary." I do not mind them not accepting my offer. However, they could have just told us that over email when I initially made the offer. Instead, they seemed to agree to the offer and made us waste 5 hour of my day when they had no intention of selling the car for the price they agreed to. Had they been honest and done business in an ethical manor, I would not be upset. But they actively chose the unethical route and employed bait and switch tactics. These type of deceptive business practices should be unlawful. I would advise everyone to stay away from Erin, Doug and this dealership as a whole. More

Erin was kind, attentive, fun, honest and easy going. The dealership has a well stocked inventory. The staff was kind and friendly and greeted you as you walked in. Overall it was a positive buying experience - it was long day completing the transaction but that it likely due to the way things get done during the COVID pandemic. She told us about the vehicle we were interested in; and, allowed us to take it for a test drive. Prior to the test drive, she noticed the tire check light was on, so she went inside to get a mechanic to check the tire; before, we took it on the road. I applauded her; because, safety is first. We purchased the vehicle, as a graduating present for my son. The entire team was wonderful at Heritage; however, if you ever need a car. Ask for Erin! More
