quickly, even without an appointment. I take issue with the fact that they tried to upsell me on replacing my brake and transmission fluid at 30k miles. The Honda website (for the exact model of my vehicle) says these only need to be changed at 90k miles and 50k miles, respectively. The cost, had I agreed, would have been several hundred dollars (which people don't often expect to pay when bringing in their vehicle for a simple oil change). It seems like they are preying on people who don't appear to know much about cars or do their research on proper maintenance. It's just gross. My husband actually called the GM (his cell phone number was posted in response to a review expressing concern over the same issue I experienced) to voice his concern, and he never received a call back. We would have continued using this dealership for routine maintenance for the life of the vehicle, but after this, we won't be back.

We have tried to reach you several times with no return phone call. I'd like to clarify service change intervals of the recommended services for the fluid exchanges that Eric recommended to you by your time and mileage. There seems to be a discrepancy in what you have looked up and what we have from Honda. I have some print outs for you directly from Honda for your 22 Ridgeline that will show better clarification on when fluids are due and why it's our job to inform you. If Eric didn't inform you of what is needed he would have be doing a disservice to you. In no way is it our intention to "prey" on any of our customers whether they know about vehicles or not. I'd be more than happy to go over this with you or your husband and as I stated earlier this comes directly from Honda. Please give us a call at your earliest convenience.

I did receive the voicemails, and I’m not really interested in chatting. Be that as it may (and it’s still a pretty crazy recommendation, especially given the apparently conflicting information from Honda), you should have responded to our concern the day it was addressed to you (day of service), and not only when you received a critical review.
The service appointment went exactly as promised.
