My mother Referred me to Michael and my Mother was impressed with how well Michael knew his inventory and picked out a Odyssey she did not come to look at and she drove it away and she told me we are impressed with how well Michael knew his inventory and picked out a Odyssey she did not come to look at and she drove it away and she told me we are going back to work with Michael in Sales and Brandon in Finance to get you a vehicle and you drove away in a Honda passport thank you so much!!!! Please, whatever you do make sure you find out the absolute bottom line before you leave the dealership. I drove from Tampa, Florida On the premise that the car was for sale sale for 21,100 in the sho absolute bottom line before you leave the dealership. I drove from Tampa, Florida On the premise that the car was for sale sale for 21,100 in the short amount of time we were there test driving it. It went from 21 1 to 32,000. No one really could explain how it went up almost 11 grand but we really wanted it and I do understand there’s taxes tag and title now in the mail, the payment amount that’s due and the bottom line and the payments that are now due are $689 a month and the bottom line went up to $40,000. They are scammers and liars. I know I signed, but when I was shown a bottom line in black-and-white, I didn’t read everything after that because I didn’t think I had to double check everything you sign 10 times… also, I specifically said I did not want the extended warranty and they signed me up for that in charge me an extra $5000. I never give bad reviews but I will review them until the day I die. More

I was recommended Honda of Sarasota thru the Costco Auto Sales program as one of their member associated dealers. I have to say that the salesman, sales manager and Finance representative were very polite a Sales program as one of their member associated dealers. I have to say that the salesman, sales manager and Finance representative were very polite and friendly. Friendly doesn’t always mean truthful and honest. After road testing the 2024 Ridgeline vehicle that I was interested in, the sales manager repeatedly presented me with a number of potential price details on slips of paper. When I agreed to purchase the vehicle, I requested a detailed itemized invoice of what the costs to walk out the door would be. I requested this information from the salesman and Honda finance representative a number of times over the course of a couple of weeks. I never received this from them. When I picked up the vehicle a week after signing for it, I again asked for a copy of the paperwork. I was shown a handwritten note that had a Market Adjustment of $4,995 on it which I refused to pay since virtually all dealers had stopped this process by late 2023. The Finance rep provided a credit "We Owe" slip for this amount and he said this would be sent to me. This was credited to my Honda Finance Loan about a week later. After a couple of weeks of my asking the dealership for an itemized invoice without them providing it to me, I contacted Honda Finance Customer Service directly. When I asked for a copy, they sent it to me within 15 minutes of ending my phone call with them. On the contract which was clearly marked “Customer Copy” on every page, there was a list of added “services” that totaled approximately an addition $12K in third party items like wheel and glass protection, maintenance, Road hazard, theft protection, etc. These were items that I neither asked for nor were they were discussed with me at the time of sale. When I visited the dealership for the third time to complain about these items being added a second Finance representative contacted the Third-part company and had them cancelled. I was told that it would be 4-6 weeks for the credit to be applied to my vehicle loan with Honda Finance. I have contacted Costco Auto Program Customer Service and filed a complaint with them over these unethical activities. The Costco representative I soke with apologized for the experience I had and will be contacting the dealership to further investigate my concerns. I also emailed the General Manager of the dealership (David Farner) expressing my concerns over the unethical actions that were taken with me and treatment they did towards me as a senior citizen and concern for other potential customers of my age. I have not received a response from him to date. What started as a pleasant vehicle buying experience has developed into my worst buying experience in over 55 years of buying vehicles. Future customers of Honda of Sarasota need to be more diligent and aware of the sales practices that they may encounter if they go to purchase a vehicle there. I would not recommend Honda of Sarasota to any age vehicle buyer. More
