First Time Buyer. Excellent. Thank you! This was my first time every getting a loan on a new car. I went to a few other dealers and felt my experience was lackluster. I knew they had a car I This was my first time every getting a loan on a new car. I went to a few other dealers and felt my experience was lackluster. I knew they had a car I was interested in so I drove all the way from downtown Phoenix. This ten mile drive was well worth it. Upon arriving at the Subaru Superstore of Surprise I was immediately greeted and was introduced to David. David didn’t treat me like a newbie or try to push me into something I wasn’t interested in. He respected me and my opinions and was so helpful. On top of this, I really enjoyed his demeanor and the way he communicated with me. I really recommend working with him. I also met a financial guy who was really sweet and I wish I could remember his name too. If you want a Subaru, come here; and definitely ask for David. Specific Pros about David: Quick responses, great knowledge of the Subaru Crosstrek that I bought, Conversational, Professional. More

Unresponsive and wasted my time I live outside the country and tried to arrange to buy a used car from David. I made an offer on the car, and, although he implied they would accept I live outside the country and tried to arrange to buy a used car from David. I made an offer on the car, and, although he implied they would accept it, could not get a straight answer one way or the other for several days. Nor could I get an answer ever on the history of the car. I only ever received very short, vague, incomplete responses from David. When he finally sent a response, after I complained ti his manager, his counter offer was basically the same as the original price, only divided up differently. Then, a couple hours later they said the car was sold. I am a serious cash buyer, but he basically wasted almost a week of my time, not responding or giving me an answer one way or another, while he waited for a better offer. He is the epitome of a stereotypical used car salesman. He didn’t even pretend to be helpful, or even to want to sell the car. I do not know about the agency in general, but based on my experience with David, I would suggest you go elsewhere! If this is typical of this agency, you are better off going elsewhere. More

We were treated in a friendly and respectful manner by David and Joe and were offered a fair deal for our new Forester. Our trade-in was also valued very fairly. Post-purchase follow up with Brittany was also excellent as she took the time to review and explain all the bells and whistles on our new Forester Touring. We are very pleased with our new Forester and the Subaru Superstore dealership. More

David Castillo saved us as a customer We had talked to the dealer about two months earlier and were pressured to take a car my wife did not want bui they kept pushing to the point she walk We had talked to the dealer about two months earlier and were pressured to take a car my wife did not want bui they kept pushing to the point she walked out and was reluctant to return. When we returned they had a different team in place and David listened to what she wanted and realized they did not have the car she wanted at the moment so he started the order process without pressure to buy another. Now, it was my turn and having spent a lot of years in sales we negotiated and found them to be very up front (with some pushing) and we signed a deal. We leased a Subaru from them in 2016 and have nothing but praise for their service dept. Now the bad... David's portion of the car pickup was efficient and he did all he could to make sure we were getting the best deal on the lease turn in, but, the financial portion was a very large turn off. We were paying cash so I questioned why did we needed to waste time with the financial person.... the answer, so she could waste a large segment of our time hawking a series of great deals we did not want.. Another area that was not great on pickup but was much better with the two week return was the 'how the car works' instruction. The pickup day basically told us little but the two week return was great, both because we had figured out the questions and she had answers. It might be wise to supply buyers with a FAQ list so they would have to take a college course in how to use the operation manual Why did we buy vs. leasing again... we are old and thus the lease option makes estate planning easier but, about six months before our lease ending we started getting hounded by many dealerships about turning in our car. More
